Smits character was a ridiculous stroyline.
I think this season is close but the 2nd season is by far the best, imho.
Season 3 was easily the worst. I was thinking this show jumped the shark the way it ended last season but I was dead wrong. I'm kind of hoping the clip for the finale with Dexter droping his knife as if Deb caught him in the act is not a tease. I'm not sure where they will go with it but it would be pretty interesting how they would tackle it.

Yeah, I hope the writers stick to what seems will happen in the finale, which is Deb finding out about Dexter. I do think this shaping up to be one of the best seasons of the series, but the finale has to stay true to the rest of the season for that to happen. If this storyline goes the route of seasons 2 and 3, where Dexter gets away with everything and no one is the wiser, I'll be very disappointed.
They should have just followed the plot from the second book abou tDanco and Doakes, and of course the Smits character was ridiculous. That is why it was awesome. Season 2 was also entertaining, but Lila's subplot and character were easily as stupid as Prado. Lila naked was great, but otherwise very meh. Lumen is annoying as as well.
I don't think the trailer actually shows Deb and Dexter together, but it sure makes it look like they are. I wouldn't be surprised if that is just misleading editing.
I agree. Editors do this all the time.
Of the dozen or so people I know personally that watch it, none of them like this season nearly as much as any of the previous ones. To me, it's the same recycled storyline - Dexter does something stupid, and gets out of it, it's just that Lumen doesn't hold much appeal to me. Weller has been awesome though.
Has the guy who plays Quinn been really sick? He looks like he dropped a lot of weight and spent the offseason in a tanning bed this time around.
Yeah, I do I agree about the storyline being recycled throughout the series, but this one, hopefully, will turn out different at the end. I think they should consider keeping a villain around for longer than a damn season. It would have been cool to see Chase or Liddy stick around til next season.
But, yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the trailer is just edited that way to excite the viewers, in which case I'll be upset. But not surprised.
And yeah Quinn looks like he's on drugs.
I was just thinking about ways the series could end...
Dexter realizes the cops are closing in on him.
He straps himself to his table, kills himself and cuts himself into 6 pieces, and drops himself into the gulf stream.
Like Frankie said, "He did it his way."
Yes? No?
(Clearly, I'm a little bored at work right now.)
No, no and no.It can't end that way.
Maybe Debra will become the new Dexter.![]()
I could definitely see the Dexter series ending with Dexter's death. But it'd be a worthy death. I don't know.
I could also see it ending with Dexter just leaving everything behind.
Blah I don't know. I used to think I wanted it to end after 6 seasons but if the writers have it still going this strong at the end of season 5 then I have hope that they can keep it up for 7 or 8 seasons.
I just don't want to see it drawn out just to get ratings, like The Office. Dexter is too good to go that route.
Maybe she has been all along.
yep they did the same exact thing in plastic wrap gay dentist double homicide episode a couple weeks ago
I love this show for killing an innocent key character that regular viewers were emotionally invested in. Most shows just don't take this route. I also like that we see Dexter's true colors- he's truly a freakin murderer. Instead of turning away from a dangerous life of killing and protecting his infant he continues killing rapists to help Lumen and work through his grief. This is totally twisted but consistent with the character.
Quinn is totally screwed. I think he could be the one busted for the death of Robocop/Liddy. The blood was on his shoe (which he won't be able to explain), he left a message on Liddy's cell that said your pissin me off, and cell phone records of frequent calls.
My hunch is that Deb may bust Quinn while Quinn will try to bust Dexter. Possible cliffhanger- I could also see Deb finding a pic. of Dex and Lumen dumping trash bags which would only let her know that Dexter is Lumen's "helper." She may really feel Quinn killed Liddy, while also finding that Dexter helped Lumen, but doesn't realize all the other murders he's done....yet.

Thanks for posting. I never watch that show, so I would've missed that.
I love this show and it could easily go on with its ratings. I only have Showtime for this show and Weeds.
The storyline is ready to close in season 6 in my opinion.
Oh, Dexter fans! I found an article with some clips of Sunday's show!
Possible spoilers, but not really.
It's up to you to click the link.

Wrong thread, nut job!!!![]()
That's why the Office was only 2 seasons and one Christmas special.
I'm not clicking on that. I can wait until Sunday.
I hope it doesn't end up with a Deb vs Dexter duel?
