and will not have as long as you have a guy Bynum in the roster
ah, right.
those 7pts and 4rbs vs. an injured Wizards looks scary![]()
and will not have as long as you have a guy Bynum in the roster
For the Spurs to have any shot, Tony Parker will have to be the guy leading the way. Artest will latch onto Manu and make him work. Not saying Manu won't still get some offense in, but only a blind Spurs homer would overlook what Artest can (still) do on the defensive end. Kobe would more than likely stick with Jefferson (he wouldn't have to work too hard on defense and would dare RJ to drive on him into the bigs down low). Duncan probably won't be doubled, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to score at will on Gasol.
Not counting on any consistent offense from Blair, that leaves the Parker - Fisher/Blake matchup. This is our lone advantage lineup wise (everything else is either even or in the Laker's favor, imo). If Parker is aggressive and on target with his jumper, he should average 25 ppg against LA. Hill should be able to chip in work as well. If that happens, and Manu can go shot for shot with Kobe, and Duncan can force LA to work on defense down low, and, most importantly, guys like RJ, Neal and Bonner can make wide-open shots when they get them, SA can beat LA. imo, that's what it'll take, because LA won't hand the Spurs the series (well, unless they consistently give Artest the ball in the final minutes of each game).
First game back from injury and in limited minutes he still looked better than Splutter.
IMO before this season Spurs big 3 had to play 110% for Spurs to even have a chance at competing with LA.
This year with LA's dropoff and Spurs role players surge, it's different. As long as big 3 are healthy, it's all up to the rest of the cast, if they bring what they been doing in regular season and increase the D intensity, they will not only compete, but win.
try again dummy. Everytime Splitter gets similar minutes he has produced more.
Spurs fans are fooling themselves

ah, right...you just made an ass out of yourself. Better quit now![]()
they won yes, but like you said they looked like , the Celtics looked like too when they weren't 100% healthy.
This year your team looks old and the proof is that they weren't able to win more games with the easy schedule at the beginning of the season.
The Lakers' young players sit on the bench but they are shooters not defenders, Fisher doesn't guard anybody he's too slow, Kobe is getting tired, Artest might be able to do something but other than that who can defend the perimeter, Blake? Brown? I think not.
Yet they won and Spurs ran out of gas in the second round and got swept by the very team the Lakeshow took care of easily. Relying on rookies to win a championship is only going to end in fail. At this point Spurs fans should be warming up to that.
So the Spurs are relying on Gary Neal and Splitter to win a championship?

If healthy the Spurs will be the team to beat in the playoffs.
They did not ran out gas, the Suns were a better team and our rookies are not rookies anymore this year. Watch a Spurs game at least once and you'll see is a different team.
No, you'll have to rely on Laker injuries to win, just like the rest of the league.
lol dumbass spurfans drinking the koolaid
is more like Lakers relying on other teams not being healthy like last year and the year before
Don't forget collusion, Stern and the officials...have I left out any other spurfan excuses?
Can't you guys just chill and enjoy the regular season? Wait till the Playoffs to talk please..
If fully intact and healthy, the Spurs have a shot this year.
Foolish to think otherwise.
yea you left out the other teams not being healthy
Go back to the Spurs forum and suck our s some more like you always do. It's easier that way, so you don't have to look like an ass when we curb stomp your on the way to our 5th this season.![]()
This is what continues to be so mother. ing. frustrating.
i believe![]()
