I'm glad that MM spurned the Lakers to sign with the Hype. The Lakers wasted no time and went after Blake and Barnes instead of signing this one dimensional spot up chucker. I guarantee you their impact for the Lakers will be felt moreso than MM's will for the Hype. I doubt that MM outplays Jones - who is shooting lights out.
I don't understand the mentality of the Hype's FO. For example, instead of going after someone to compliment DWhistle, they go out and sign a bigger, stronger player with the same skillset and the same need for the ball (LeHype) - mistake #1. Instead of putting a full press on Amare (a better fit with DWhistle IMO), they go after RuPaul - mistake #2. Instead of signing solid role players to fill out their roster they go after another "name" who probably won't do much more than James Jones is already - mistake #3. Instead of starting Chalmers, they start Arroyo - mistake #3. Then they traded away a 21 year old kid who just so happens to be outperforming RuPaul - mistake #4.
I can go on and on. The Miami Hype Project is doomed to fail unless they learn from their mistakes. But hey, I am just a Hype hater with a keyboard and internet service.![]()
