    i hate it when a bad performance here and there means their entire career consists of that to some idiots

    dirk has had a ridiculous number of great performances as well. just like manu, and timmy, and many others. fact is, dirk, aside from one year, never really had a complete team on both ends of the court, and the year he did, they went to the finals (a controversial one at that). this is the most complete team they have had since then, probably better on defense, while giving up some in offensive firepower (although the current Mavs offensive system >>>>>> the 06 Mavs offensive system). unfortunately, there is also tougher compe ion around the league this year than there was in the mid 2000s.
