I have been advocating a run at signing Payton & Malone for months. Now that the Lakers are making a run at it others are joining on the bandwagon.
Too bad, it ain't gonna happen now.
On the bright side, we still may land:

Kidd & Zo
Kidd & Scola
Brand & ?
or too many other possible combinations to list, most of whom will make the Spurs contenders for years to come.
