Not dismissing Boston's effort tonight on the defensive end, but it's not like they didn't know Aldridge wasn't gonna get the lion's share of FGAs. He got off 20 FGAs against the Cs - partially because of their 19 offensive rebounds: the same thing that killed y'all in game 7. Thing is Lakers > PDX in rebounding. Pau/LO/Bynum averages 27.5 rpg alone. Lakers are 2nd in the league in rpg. The C's are 30th in rpg. Rebounding will be a factor

I thought it was all the bull foul calls that killed the C's in game 7. Shaq and the other Oneal will help in that category. C's got this.

I 100% agree. That's why we grabbed Shaq and Jermaine as backups to replace Scal and Shelden. Our rebounding was pretty bad tonight.

As far as Rondo goes, dude always keeps the ball moving and they execute like a SOB. And that's mainly due to him.
the Blazers were going to the rack and weren't getting from the refs. I mean, the C's were playing great defense but not every Blazer drive was a clean block. Nate Mac was heated and the Blazers got like 2 free throws in the first half.
Whoever wins the rebound battle will win tbh, Portland had like 20 offensive rebounds yesterday & way more FGA's. They just have a bunch of scrubs taking 15 shots a game & have a horrible shot selection vs a team like boston.
The only ? I have of Bynum is his toughness. I want to see how Bynum reacts when Perkins and Shaq start pounding on him. Should be a fun game to watch Sunday.
I'm interested to see Bynum v. Shaq. Bynum has been "playing big" as of late. I've mentioned before that he us up to 295lbs now. But still, Shaq is bigger and stronger. The thing is, Shaq is 39 and will only be good in spurts. 4th qtr? Fuggetabou - he's a liability because he can't shoot FTs - just like in his LA days.
As far as Bynum v. Perk: advantage Bynum. Bynum is a lot more seasoned this year. These last 7 games or so has been his best display of defense/rebounding that I have ever seen from him. I think he will beast Perk mostly because Perk will finally have like only 5 games under his belt (kind of like Blair giving Bynum the business when he too just got off of rehab and hardly any games under his belt). I expect the Finals matchup of Bynum and Perk to be more indicative of what both centers bring to the game.
By the way, it was Bynum who ended Perk's season last year. He held up just fine to the "pounding" and played in all 7 games on a bum wheel. That showed me toughness that I like to see in my starting center. Sunday's game will be fun to watch. As much as they are pissed about 2010 Game 7, I still believe the Lakers are more pissed about 2008 Game 6. They choked a 13 point 3rd qtr lead, but we got s acked in that game 6. I believe the Lakers will be ready.
