I agree but tonite Manu gives us 40 intense mn against a very physical team idem for TD. No need to take further risks with them too
If the Spurs lose this game then all the minutes by everyone were for nothing. Looking ahead at the schedule Pop might sit Manu out for the Miami game because it gives them the longest rest and also sends a little " you" to the NBA. If he really wanted to do it he'd sit them out for the Sunday game against the Lakers.

Seriously... it's unreal. Just another sign that this team is something else.
The Spurs did this same thing in 1995. They always found a way to win. Then Doc Rivers got hurt and it all went away.

im pretty sure Manu would kill pop if he sat out him out for either of these games.

Well what I took from this game is that Manu at least showed he had his legs back, even if it was just for one game. He had very nice drives and finishes.

    What is a contusion?
This type of injury is very common in contact sports. An impact to the calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus muscles) can cause more damage than might be expected and should be treated with respect. The muscle is crushed against the bone and if not treated correctly or if treated too aggressively then Myositis ossificans may result.
Jesus, that's the most depressing definition of a bruise I've ever read. Will Parker be ready for the playoffs?

They did come to war, but losing a 21 pt lead you had is just pathetic! They were lucky to get momentum back after that and win the game, period.

Losing one of your best players is always hard to come back from. Previous Spurs teams would have folded up the tent and gone home. They came close a couple of times in the third.

    What is a calf contusion?

The muscle group at the back of the lower leg is commonly called the calf. The calf comprises of 2 major muscles one of which originates from above the knee joint (gastrocnemius) the other of which originates from below the knee joint (soleus). Both of these muscles insert into the heel bone via the Achilles tendon (figure 1).

The calf is responsible for raising the heel during weight bearing activity and has a rich blood supply. Following a direct impact to the calf, damage to the muscle fibres, connective tissue and small blood vessels of the muscle may occur. This results in a 'bruise' to the calf and is known as a calf contusion.

Calf contusions can range from minor contusions resulting in minimal pain and allowing ongoing activity, to severe contusions resulting in significant pain and loss of function.

Actually, I said (before the game started) that this would come down to the wire, and I was right.

    Hopefully, I jinxed Miami, too.
