Like Tim said after the Heat game. One game, one night. Spurs got blitzed. If the Lakers were able to play like this consistently, I'd be worried about facing them.

This type of game from the Lakers has been the exception, not the norm this year. We're still up 2-1 in the season series. Props to the Lakers, they came out determined to close this thing early.

Tim is a non-factor against the Lakers height. Thank God we changed the offense this year to not run through Tim. Unless we scramble on D, we'll be killed. At least this was exposed in the regular season and not in the playoffs.

I only defend him this much because its ridiculous how much grief the guy gets. No he's only one dimensional. I don't think I ever said he was in there to dominate the boards or be a shut down defender but his one dimension is really important.

Bonner is NEVER the reason we lose but 90% of the Spurs fan ing is about him. Its re ed.
That I can agree with....that goes for any other player for that matter. all trade tp/manu threads. The big 3 obviously have a bigger impact on the potential outcome but what I care about is effort. We win and lose as a team. Once we started missing, it as an avalanche as Van Gundy stated. I'll give the lakers credit for making some tough shots. They'll be plenty of blame to go around on SpursTalk after this game. Look for trades, hanging, bull reffing, LMAO spurs, Bonner etc to go on....nothing new here.

A couple of people have said it and they are right - there is some element of perfect storm to this too. We've been horrible at both ends, but they have also been red-hot with the jumper, and the bounce of the ball has gone their way (layups rimming out for us, long rebounds falling into their hands). No excuses, but this isn't quite as bad as it looks.
Agree. We beat the Lakers twice this season. They're playing great today but it's not like we have no chance against them in the Playoffs. If it happens it'll be a damn tough series.

Today the energy level is not good but it also one of those days. We missed 4 or 5 easy layups and a lot of opens shots. Lakers made a lot of long and contested shots.

My real worry is the boards. We have been killed on the boards against good teams for a while

It'd be nice if Manu, RJ and Tim would show up in the 2nd half.

You haven't been paying attention to the way the Lakers have been playing after the all-star game.

Time to see how Splitter's height can help us. This is the time to experiment, not in the playoffs.

It's funny how we forget that length in the interior lets your perimeter players fly out to contest shooters.

Interior D> Spread out floor offensively. Always has and always will be.
Very true. That is why I am always defense first over offense.

Same people loving the Spurs swagger last game, now griping about the Lakers swagger this game.

Fans should know that the Heat are not the team against which to measure oneself.
