If by "belief card", you mean "Believe in the Lord Jesus", as described by Paul and Silas in Acts 16 then yes "You will be saved" also quoting Acts 16you might be a murderer, but as long as you play the belief card, it's all good.

You should read up on people who have had near death experiences. They all account seeing or feeling the same thing. They see a tunnel of light, they see relatives who have moved on, or they are floating above thier bodies and they can see what's going on. But docs or scientists believe that this is all due to the brain being deprived of oxygen, and that may cause these expierences such as seeing the tunnel of light. They also claim that the floating above thier bodies and recalling what went on during that time could be due to a heightned senses. So I guess it's what you want to believe. Whether or not you have faith. I just think people think they know it all, but I just have a hard time thinking we were created at random. I mean I think its logical to think that something created something vs nothing created something.

I suppose it comes down to whether or not you believe that you have a soul. If you do, then the question becomes what happens to it after it's parted from your physical body. The options are nothing, reincarnation, an afterlife or something we cannot conceive of. From there, it's really about religious belief system you subscribe to.
Christians are told that they don't really need to worry over much about the day of judgment because they'll be saved by their belief in Christ as sacrifice for their sins. Whether or not any further punishment exists in an afterlife for deeds of the physical life again depends on what religious belief system you subscribe to - there is no agreement in Christianity.
As for me, I haven't any idea what happens, as I've never died that I am aware of.
