Should be no excuse they can't play D like this all the time.
Why burn yourself out over 82 games when you can just flip the switch like this? Coasting prolongs their careers

They weren't coasting in either game vs Miami. The Heat have the frontline to duel with the Lakers. The Heat have a HUGE edge on the perimeter. It all comes down to how bad the Heat want it. They showed that heart last Thursday.

The Heat play the Lakers tough...too bad there's 2 teams ahead of them in the East that they have no answers for.

Beating the Lakers 4 times - I agree with the announcers, I just don't see it.
And if the playoffs started today, Spurs stand a good chance of getting swept.
Spurs and Lakers appear to be headed in opposite directions.

Son, I meant from this point on, and through the regular season. No point in burning yourself through the regular season for a great record. Look at the spurs.

Is it me or does Andrew Bynum have a light voice for a big man?

Agreed, there's no reason they can't.

More than stats or scoreboard, or anything else, Baby Drew's emotion out there on the court was ing great to watch. He played with at ude and didn't look like the passive, nonchalant bigman he's been in the past. A pissed off Bynum is one scary negro

Yeah, but the Spurs didn't burn themselves out. Starters averaging an all-time low in minutes.

Their lack of an interior finally caught up with them.

As witnessed by the con uous absence of LOL coasting threads. They see the writing on the wall. It is and has ALWAYS been the Lakers to lose. Love seeing the emotion from Drew!

Well deserved, they looked like in a lot of games and had a terrible record against +.500 teams. Even Kobe calling out the team couldn't right the ship. The reason they're playing great now is not a result of "flipping the switch," but of Andrew Bynum being 100% healthy and in game shape, which he wasn't for the majority of the season.

Lakers might have a tough series vs. the Mavs, and they would be in for a tough series with Chicago, but they would probably win both..they would beat Boston and San Antonio without any problems, based on what we're seeing right now..they should be fine, as long as they don't play Miami, or Bynum isn't a 100%..

The Lakers have the same flaws as earlier in the season, except Artest has gotten a little better..the difference is obviously Bynum playing like their best player..
