On a more serious note- why hasn't this guy stuck with a team?
I know he's not an all star- even a probably a starter but he is long and can shoot plus he hustles.
The one year he got minutes he put up 7 ppg and almost 42% FROM 3

In Dallas and Houston, he was a victim of a logjam at his position I think. Don't know about the Clips, but it could very well have been the same thing, explaining the drop in minutes.

I think they tried to call him "Steve Slovak" but people thought it referred to his nationality instead of his footspeed.

Novak is the all time leader in 3 points made by minute. He is just an awesome shooter.

His problem is that he is even a biggest one trick pony than Bonner. You can be the best shooter in the world, which Novak arguably is, but you won't find a place if you can play a minimum of defense and/or grab some rebounds.

From what little I've seen of Novak's skills aside from shooting, Bonner is Curly Neal and Mark Eaton in comparison.

Steve Novak has his second straight strong shooting game with 13 points on 5-for-6 from the field with 3-for-4 behind the 3-point arc. His 32 points in his last two games is his biggest scoring binge since scoring 33 points in two games with the Los Angeles Clippers on March 17-18, 2009. Over the last three games, he’s hitting 70.6 percent from the field. And over the last 12 games, he’s hitting 64.0 percent of his 3-point attempts.

I don't know how you guys find these players. I watched Novak with the Clippers (I know it's the Clippers) but he really didn't do anything.

The Spurs know how to move the ball and find open players, the clippers don't. The Spurs have Tim, Tony and Manu who opposing defense need to worry about, the clippers don't. Novak's the same player he was in LA, he just gets more open looks here.
