You Artest haters will never get it….To you he is crazy, whacko, unpredictable & scary…In Los Angeles he is just “One of Us”…

I don't often watch games that don't involve the Spurs, but I watched this one after halftime. Very entertaining!
This is where the "non-clutch" Kobe stats people get their fuel, though. I counted 5-15 FG, 3-4 FT (along with 5 rebounds and 2 turnovers) starting at 5:00 left in the 4th.

Until he s up again and Lakers fans call for his head again.
Again? I missed the first time, I guess. He may shoot bad most of the time, but his D more than makes up for it.
But, he rang. And that's forever.

Ron Artest has won a championship? Wow, that's completely obvious and irrelevant to the point I was making--which is right up your alley, since the only thing you know is ring smack.
Brrr - that's cold blooded!!![]()
Don’t get me wrong Redzero, I would still trade Artest & Luke straight up for Carmelo….
With the way he's meshing in NY...I'm not so sure that would be a trade I'd do or should the Lakers consider...
I can't do anything that suits you of late.
You can stop being a re who uses ring smack in any and every situation, as if you're offending me by saying that Ron Artest has won a championship, as if I didn't know that or hate Artest.
Agreed. It would upset an apple cart that would not only displace Artest, but, would send Odom into a deep depression and have Kobe wringin' his hands in his rec room when Vanessa ain't lookin' about his shots availability.
No.
The Knicks shocked me with that trade giving up two starters, cash & draft picks…I am pretty sure though that the Lakers could get by with out Luke & Artest if we got Melo…![]()
LG. Should have known.
rofl remember when koolaid wanted to trade Bynum for Melo
Could possibly be...I'm with you on the Luke part of the trade, but giving up the defense of Ron would be a harder sell for me. I like what Melo does offensively, but his defense isn't all that stellar.
Cully with that wise old sage perspective; not concerned with short sighted fanboy talk that dominates message boards but rather the big picture. And Ron rang.
Who said that he did not?
No one.
But to be concerned with what fanboys might say (call for his head) is irrelevant in the big picture of things.
10 years from now no one will care. What matters is that he fit in with the team and help the rang. That's what history remembers, not banter on message boards.
Then stop bringing it up.
No, not really. Sportcamper claimed that Ron Artest is accepted in L.A. I showed that he wasn't accepted by several Lakers fans after that twitter incident, which proves that his acceptance by at least some Lakers fans is conditional. But to be concerned with what fanboys might say (call for his head) is irrelevant in the big picture of things.
You can continue to bring up the fact that he won a championship if you want, but that doesn't make the above statement untrue.
Well, that was hue & cry when we acquired Artest:::that he would wreck us, we'd never repeat, that'd he blow up, self destruct and take the entire organization with him. Well, , if you're gonna take that approach and it don't come to reality I'm gonna light out after ya and spank that ass.
I'd keep Ron just on the merit of what is he going to say post-championship interview a la 2010 Finals...
Saw this on LG some good stuff (ripped from a Suns forum) I thought Laker fans were vicious to Luke:
Vince Carter then:
half man half amazing
Vince Carter now:
half man, half amusing
half man, half-asleep
half man, half-hearted half man, half-speed
half man, half interested half man, half effort
half man, full price
Vince's Carter's box score if I were the coach:
half man, half a minute
Vince Carter when he gets his first DUI in Scottsdale:
half man, half sober
half man, half vodka
Vince Carter after he signs his next contract:
half man, half price
His acceptance is not the measuring stick. The measuring stick is who wins the last game played in June. Artest did.
It was the measuring stick when the Celtics made us sorry in June of '08.
It is the measuring stick when we returned the favor in June of '10.
He could start by losing 30lbs. He's extremely overweight. He's got no quickness.
