Way to end the quarter!! Now let's build on that.
Down 3 at the half isn't so bad. that Bonner/Blair combo, Spurs would be ahead if it wasn't for that.
Way to end the quarter!! Now let's build on that.
Blair/Bonner combo put us in a hole but the starters bring us back.
I hope Pop doesn't put that stupid lineup again in the 2nd half
Down by three. We still have a game. Now, what to do with Bonner? Maybe somebody could slip him a box of chocolates laced with x-lax.
Amen to that!!
So refreshing when Dice and Duncan come back in the game
Wish in one hand...
Like that's gonna happen.![]()
This arena seems so anemic
Everytime the crowd is supposed to cheer it sounds incredibly halfhearted
Praying this happens.
Seriously, the Bonner/Blair combo killed all momentum we had in the first and really needs to stop. I can't understand why Pop keeps doing it, while a fully capable, good defending 7 footer rots on the ing bench.
I thought Pop was supposed to be a defensive minded coach......
You know there's zero chance of that happening
No more.
Now he's an offensive minded coach.Offensive for the fans.
they've had terrible losses in that Arena this year alone, that crowd has given up on the team![]()
Bonner at 13 minutes and 0-5 is not good enough no matter how hard he tries. Bonner has no accountability for his poor play. He can do whatever and will still see his minutes. This is not the lesson you want your kids to learn.
Continued playing Bonner is not only poor decision it is contrary to everything the Spurs stand for.
Atrocious defense once again. The Hawks ran the same play for Crawford/Hinrich myriad times and every single time they got a clean look. Either the Spurs guards got nailed on the screen and stuck to it, instead of fighting through it, or they flat out went under, which is inexplicable given who they were guarding.
The coach is a re . Not playing Splitter, watching as Blair get's abused by the immortal Pachulia and the Hawks run a layup drill with the two sieves playing together. No surprise they're giving up 54.1% shooting.
All around sloppy, unfocused play. From a few awful turnovers, to the stagnant offense, to Bonner shooting four runners/hooks. This from a team with a lot to play for, that's been struggling mightily recently, playing against a team that has nothing to play for and missing one of their three best players. Unbelievable.
The coach needs to use his brain, Ginobili needs to get his head out of his ass and Jefferson needs to play like he belongs in the NBA or this one's going to end just as six of the past seven have.
Sorry, I just go home. Has Splitter gotten any minutes yet?
LOL !! FSSouthwest showed a preview of our next 3 games against Sacramento, Utah and the Lakers. What stars will be going up against the Spurs ? Tyreke Evans, Deron Williams and Kobe Bryant. Funny stuff. Someone needs to update their graphics.
I honestly think he doesn't even care about the offense vs defense aspect of it anymore. He's out there trying to prove a point - that Bonner/Blair can work in this league. Doesn't matter how many times we get creamed, ol' Pop is gonna stay with it.
It's gonna be a famous victory for Pop, and the haters are going to be left with egg on their faces. Just like it was with small ball vs the Mavs, Finley getting major minutes, Bogans as a starter, Mason as PG, Hill on the bench vs the Mavs, etc. Pop always wins in the end.
Manu has been responsible for more points than Tony, despite having the ball half as often, and has fewer turnovers. Not sure what game you're watching. Every time Manu's had the ball, he's created a wide open shot, usually a layup, for a big man, or a high-percentage look for himself.
I use to cringe everytime Bowen would take the ball to the hoop. Now I puke everytime Bonner does.
Did I ever say that i wish Bonner was not on this team?
RJ with only 1 shot attempt? Ouch...
Bonner-blaired again...
This is the most frustrating season to be a spurs fan...or I should say to be a spurs fan who cares and just doesn't agree with everything Pop does...
I don't see Pop just changing during the playoffs no matter what evidence Bonner provides...Pop will just continue to trot him out there until we are all left here watching as the spurs get sent home fishing while teams with lesser talent continue on...
On the road, against a solid playoff team who shot 54% in the first 1/2 and only down by 3? I'll take it.
Positives:
Tim looks great
We hold a 20-15 rebounding edge
We're not jacking 3s, only 6 attempts
Negatives:
Neal looks lost
Bonner with some real good looks inside but lipping them all out
do I see Antonio Daniels with Philly there?
