Also not alot of people mention her but Lauren Alaina is getting old fast and there's nothing about her that stands out. I would seriously not be surprised if she goes home soon, nor would I care.
It certainly is interesting how everyone's definition of a good singing voice differs. I guess there is no right or wrong. To each his own! I'm at the other end of the spectrum with Casey. I think he has one of the worst voices along with Paul among the guys. "Your Song" IMO, exposed his weak vocals. The past weeks it seems Casey has tried to impersonate others artists never singing in his real voice. This past week the truth came out.

I definitely did not like that performance either. Casey does not have the best voice in the compe ion, but what he lacks there he makes up for in creativity and diversity.
I understand that people like guys like Jacob or Pia because they have amazing/powerful voices, but that's clearly not all what American Idol is about anymore (even though some would argue that it should be). Either way, in a show that relies on America's voting to keep you in, you have to stand out in some sort of way, so of course creativity plays a part in the show.
But it really is just opinion. Some people don't like the raspy, bluesy voice that Casey and Haley have. I happen to. To each his own.
Well obviously America didnt like Casey last week cuz of his "creativity" since he got kicked out...i guess the judges like his creativity thats why they saved him.
But youre right...to each his own.

Everyone was pretty good on this show, but no one was awesome to me. I'm sure people are going to rave about Pia -- but I didn't love her.
I have no idea who will be in the bottom 3 this week, but I think Paul will be eliminated.
From best to worst:
1. Jacob- His best performance in my opinion.
2. Scotty- My boy tried something different and it worked!!!
3. Lauren- IMO best female vocals! I think her best performance!
4. James- Good song choice. IMO, his best performance!
5. Pia- Good vocals again...BUT, she looked uncomfortable and there still was a little screaming. Not spectacular!
6. Stefano- Good vocals, but like Simon would say,"Not memorable"!
7. Haley- Just ok for me. Too much "growling"!!
8. Paul- This might be his best performance IMO. That isn't saying much b/c I thought his previous ones were terrible!!
9. Casey- I hope he never forgets how to play that stand up bass. His vocals were not good!
Going fishing- I think "America" will send Stefano home. I'm hoping Casey goes fishing!!
As usual the judges were scared to "judge" and seemed to love every performance. Still think AI is targeting Pia to win.
Another crappy week thanks to the record label selling products and not vocal performances...Scotty's best performance, Lauren's best performance, and maybe Casey's best performance.
Steven Tyler ran out of to say, no one else says anything good. This show got ty fast, which is really sad cuz there's some great talent on it.
I think the bottom 3 will be Paul, Stefano and really can't decide on the third. Toss up. I think Paul may be going.
It's gotten to the point that I wish it was over. The show has jumped the shark. The show needs Simon Cowell back. the judges suck. The contstants....
No one stood out this week. I still like who I've previously liked, and no one outside of them performed to make me think otherwise. I liked Haley but even she was just mediocre. She sang one of my favorite songs though so I'm a bit biased.
I agree with Viva about the bottom three. I think the 3rd person may be Haley. Paul should go home though.
I agree. I think the third person might be Jacob. I like him, but I don't think America does.
