He's an interesting option, but I doubt the Spurs would risk trading for damaged goods, especially when there are perfectly healthy centers like Olowokandi and Eldon Campbell available this summer capable of filling in David Robinson's limited production. IIgauskas is coming off the first semi-healthy season in a long time. Given that the Spurs have had to deal with Robinson's injury status for the last couple of years, they may go for a player who is going to be there, over a player who's status could be questionable.
Olowokandi has missed his share of games also, many people, including his own teammates have even questioned Kandi's heart for the game, but when you compare his minor injuries to those of IIgauskas (who's reoccurring foot problems could keep him out all year), it's easy to see who comes out on top. Especially, if it's for the right price.
It seems that the Clippers are content on letting Olowokandi walk this summer, but there is limited money beyond the MLE money available for Olowokandi around the NBA. If the Spurs play their cards right, and don't get into a bidding war with either Denver or Utah they may get Kandi on the cheap. Otherwise, they may take a look at Eldon Campbell.
Optimisticaly, the player I think the Spurs should go after is Tyson Chandler, especially if the Bulls draft another 7 footer this summer. Honestly though, the Spurs don't have anything to offer the Bulls beyond Malik Rose, and that maybe too high a price to pay - for now.
