I'm sure the MRI will be fine and he'll be ready for Game 1. There's no reason for cliff jumping (yet?).

Dr Arosti (sp?) was on The Morning Drive on 760 this morning. if the "radial ligament" is torn he's done for the year, if it's a bone bruise he'll be back quick.

    pray.
From what all the players and Manu himself were saying last night it doesn't sound that bad. But yes... pray.

yes there is, and he does not know the difference between the words "then" and "than"
Internet Sports Forum Grammar kind of goes out the window when one of our best players is on the floor writhing in pain in a meaningless game.

Does anybody know when we can expect to find out the results of the MRI?

if he is not there for memphis then that would mean he is out for the season. but we will need everyone for every series for as long as we are in it.

Im kinda in this mentality right now. Hopfully its not too serious and he'll need a week, Spurs should be finishing up Memphis by then and Manu will be back for round 2.

Now if it is serious and hes out for the year....fuuuuuuuuck.

First game in Memphis is a week and a half away. Manu will be back by then. Hill will get it done in the first two games at home. We're gonna beat the Grizz in 5 games, max.
First game in Memphis is on Sunday...

    Two things:

    - Manu before playoffs:
    2009 Manu's ankle,
    2010 Manu's nose,
    2011 Manu's elbow.

    - Resting starters in 10/11:
Timmy rested on back 2 back vs. Bobcats than played vs. GSW --> sprain anke,
Manu rested on first game of b-2-b (Lakers), than come back vs. Suns --> ?!?!?!?

    What a karma.

No-we're all desperate waiting to hear the news on Batman. We probably won't know until late this afternoon since he will be having the MRI this afternoon.

It's his right elbow. Short of it being in danger of falling off Manu is gonna play. Hasn't Kobe been playing with torn ligaments in his fingers for like 4 years?

On Manu’s injury and playoff seeding
    by Timothy Varner
    48 Minutes of

Maybe a coach does know his team best.

Gregg Popovich is always reluctant to play his stars in meaningless games. Injuries happen. Injuries derail seasons. Injuries suffocate championship hopes. And significant injuries on the last night of the regular season? They’re crushing. In those cases the isolated meaninglessness of a single game retroactively infects everything that came before.

Nothing that we don't really know here. Just news off the RotoWire:

Manu Ginobili: (Elbow) MRI Lined Up - 4/14/2011 6:33:24 AM

    Update:
Ginobili suffered a hyperextended right elbow during the first quarter of Wednesday's regular season finale, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

    Recommendation:
Ginobili will undergo an MRI on his elbow on Thursday, though x-rays were negative. This should not be considered a serious injury, but Manu could miss the beginning of the team's opening round series against Memphis.

man i was at niosa the first freaking game i didnt watch this year... and what happens? i get a text while i was talking to some very lovely niosa girls i saw "manus hurt bro" i said MANUS HURT! and no joke about 15 people asked me what happened?!!! no!

good news from what i got out of the injury

when manu's arm got caught in the pick he was very lucky that his whole hand didnt get caught on timmy instead it was his fingers so that gave some leeway/ play as his elbow got hyperextended.. we would be done if his palm would have been caught with timmy.. this is why i honestly believe this is the best case scenario for manu if were talking about injuries ( ankle =done) even if this was his left elbow, but this is the least important limb (4 manu) ill take this over an ankle injury anyday!
