Did he say anything rational or intelligent? No. Did he back any of that up with facts? No. The whole time he was on he didn't really say a damn thing about anything. Dude is getting senile and is in denial...it was painful to watch.
His first mistake is going on O'Reilly's show. Those cable shows are a waste of time for any serious discourse because they invariably devolve into shouting matches like what happened between those two.
O'Reilly is almost as funny as the Daily Show, thing is, he's not trying to be funny.

If a "serious" channel like Fox is blatantly UNbalanced (but "lies about it (R)"),
what's the obligation for a silly comedy show to be balanced?
It's not that there's an obligation, it's just not as funny or universal. What cracks me up is that Stewart got on a soapbox about CNN Crossfire (an entertainment program) when his entertainment program is guilty of the same things. A lot of people get most of their news from shows like that these days, including the Daily Show. They aren't obligated to show objectivity, but we're not obligated to like it.

Corruptness and dishonesty did not originate with W's swearing in, and most certainly is not exclusive to the Republican party.
And what's the problem with voicing opinions about the Daily Show? I don't really have one because I don't think I've ever seen it...because I don't watch much TV to begin with ... but us *conservatives* take enough in this forum over Hannity and Rush and Anne and God only knows who else...you Stewart disciples can take a little bit of that back.
Oh, and The New York Times at least, and most major networks have always had a liberal slant, FWIW...but I can't give you any exact names because I don't pay that much attention.

That would be a great thing to discuss in another thread. I'd like TRO, joechhehehchehehehajajajajaajaaaam, clandestino (where's he been lately anyways) and whoever else to join in. Because i remember TRO was showing me a while ago how the media was liberal.
From what I have seen, people think the media is liberal just because it does not conform to republican idealogy. But just because it does not comform to it, doesn't make it "liberal" And it sure as does not make it "Liberal" in the political sense. Just like me being fiscally conservative does not make me "conservative" in the political sense.
I think people take the Daily Show way too seriously. Anybody who is actually looking to the Daily Show for news is a ing idiot. It's a comedy show on a comedy station...who cares who he makes fun of? It ain't like people down on O'Reilly for targeting liberal mouthpieces which he does..and alot.
