Think so, huh? I'll take that action. I love free money.
OVER in the first half. The Angel of Stern calls in the middle of the game, says it's "not up to his standards".
72 in the third quarter. 91 for the game. Kobe drops 58 points at the charity stripe. 60 for the game.

This is what will really happen...
Every quarter the nets will get called for 4-5 ticky tack fouls early in the quarter...
this will allow the lakers to shoot free throws (penalty) early and often....
towards the end of the game after the lakers have a comfortable lead...the lakers will get a few calls to even out the calls a little---but after the outcome is decided...
Ariza and maybe even Paul will be in foul trouble to keep the lakers comfortably ahead....
Book it...
Silv, gettin' his asshole on.
I'll take the over... especially since this season's Lakers need all the help they can get...
Another question is... if Monty manages to pull the upset, does the NBA fires him?
Kobe will shoot roughly the same # of free throws that the Hornets do.
Gasol + Kobe will shoot 10+ free throws more than NO.
No, they will "promote" him to Toronto.
Really depends how aggressive the Hornets are in attacking the basket. They did a good job in game one and still trailed heavily at the FT line until the 4th quarter when they out-shot the Lakers 20-4. Most of the Hornets big men were in foul trouble throughout the game.
My fear is that Ariza will get in early foul trouble against Kobe. Okafor too against Bynum. Hornets will double team Gasol mostly so Landry should be fine. I think Lakers will come out aggressive as well and draw alot of fouls. Still, I think the FTs will be EVEN.
I have a feeling there won't be all that many free thows this game as some of you suspect. My gut feeling is they will just let them play. Of course if the game is reasonably close, their could be a lot of fouling near the end, intentionally.
So 12-18 FT's per team, at most.
If that's the case, I expect the Lakers to be 3x as physical as New Orleans and only called for the token touch fouls and the blatantly obvious stuff.
51? you were wrong by about it 29 fts
17 for the hornets? 15 more.
This thread was full of spot-on predictions. Great work guys.
Just more of the fine analysis we've come to expect from Ambchang, Cry Havoc, and BRHornet.
lol br with the bads
lol stern fixing NBA hornets to win
lol +10 freethrows
lol hornets cant make freethrows

In two games, Hornets shot 65 FTs in LA. WTF is BR talking bout?
![]()
So since the hornets shot more free throws in both games than the Lakers I guess that means this is rigged for the hornets by you idiots logic. This is where you gots just disappear and pretend this discussion never happened since it doesn't suit you ass hurt theory anymore.![]()
Yep, that's what they did last night: they disappeared.
They had no other choice.
, at this point the Lakers should be happy to see the Hornets getting to the FT line because we ing miss 12 per game. Killing ourselves.....
