To be completely fair I don't think those statements are contradictory. I don't think killing Osama made us any safer, but it sure as is historic.

The show that aired that night does not show up for at least 48 hours. second you have to watch 5 TIDE commercials and 3 new medication commercials from acid reflux to the latest stay hard pill just to watch 4 1/2 minutes of the show then it's two dish liquid commercials and three more pharmaceutical commercials then 4 minutes of the show. By the time you are done (if you don't lose the feed) the next Celebrity Apprentice is already on the TV.

I agree, thank you Marcus. I posted something similar on FB. I for one am happy that he is dead. I will celebrate our victory even if it is mainly symbolic (though it likely isn't mainly symbolic if it is true that we got a bunch of hard drives, thumb drives, etc). I knew it would devolve into the left and the right trying to find some kind of fault in the fact that this great thing was done, but I was hoping we would get a few days of national catharsis before that started. Nope. Sad, that we can't celebrate our victories, or (now) even mourn our tragedies.
