If dirk rebounded and played D, he'd mave multiple rings. Duncan, KG and Malone (for the most part) maximized their talent and effort on both ends of the floor over the course of their respective careers. Same can't be said for Dirk.

KG got a ring because he joined two other all-stars and made a team with a talent level that Dirk hasn't even gotten close to enjoying. Not because KG "Maximized their talent effort on both ends of the floor".
