Normally it wouldn't be a choke.
But when Mavs players have been playing like all-stars and hitting impossible shots all postseason, and then start missing wide open ones, its a choke.
Marion at the beginning of the game looked like he was gonna have a seizure, and yet he's the only one who's nerves seemed to calm as the game went on. The only explanation I can think of is that he's too much of a simpleton to stay nervous.
agree mavs didnt' choke. They just wet the bed. They were never ready for prime time. Well, at least they have another WC banner to hang.
jj,Terry,Kidd,peja need to shoot better in gm 2. 7/25 ain't gonna cut it. Poor dirk tbh.
Dirk has been an absolutely atrocious rebounder this playoff. No one has talked about it because his offense was amazing and they were winning. It was one of the things I said Dallas had to be concerned about. They can't put Dirk on Bosh because they can't risk foul trouble and Dirk running out of gas. Because Chandler is on Bosh, Bosh sucks him out of the paint leaving Dirk to have to fight off Lebron/Wade/Joel on the offensive glass. It leaves them in a bad spot.

This too. I mean, the Lakers weren't a joke. Mavs just played awfully tonight. Both teams did really, but the Heat closed.
Yeah, I made a mistake. What else is new? All the Dirk and Mav haters are ing tonight. I just took a xanax so I'm kind of mellowing down. And I've recently started to reconsider suicide. And before you me out or call me a pussy, this has nothing to do with the Mavs. I'm miserable right now in my life and I'm starting to come to a breaking point. I'm stuck at a dead end job with ty pay and I get treated like a piece of too there. No respect at all. I am a hopeless piece of and prick. I wasted 5 and a half years in college in the hopes of possibly getting a good paying job or at least a decent paying job. I've been stuck in retail for almost 3 years making a whopping 15K a year. How am I ever going to be happy making ty money like that? Sorry for the rant, I think it's the xanax kicking in.
Can't expect players to continue playing at an unnaturally high level. Hot streaks, just like cold streaks, always come to an end. It's not a choke.
Mavs got to the line and hit 9 3's at a 40% clip. If they can repeat that in game 2, they will be in good shape.
Seriously, I honestly wouldn't care if all the Heat players died in their airplane while flying to Dallas after game 2, LOL. I hate the team that much. I wouldn't care at all if Stern died either. The NBA would be a legitimate sport if he died.

I hope Wade and Lebron break one ankle each. Whatever happens in game 2, I hope to God that Mav fans boo the out of Wade. If they don't, they aren't Mav fans. Gino, are you serious? It's not player of the last 6 minutes, it's player of the game. Wade was a no show through the first 3.5 and Lebron was consistent throughout.
