Why wouldn't I accept an answer? If you told me that you've talked with black people personally, who have told you either they have heard they would never make it, or they did so to their children as parents, then I'd accept it.

However, you said that all the black people you know have done the opposite. So I'm wondering where you get this impression from? Is it the media?

If I knew the answer to that, I'd be a millionaire. I'm sure there are a mul ude of factors. For instance, schools with less resources may not be able to provide the same education that schools with more resources can. Perhaps the families can not provide adequate basic necessities, harming the child's ability to learn.
