Bleacher Report says Bertans is a SF? Wow, that would be a significant matchup problem.
Even though we got Bertans at Indiana's 42, I still feel the trade was Hill for Leonard/Joseph. We probably would have taken Bertans at 29 if the trade didn't go through.
Hopefully Leonard/Butler come on strong at SF next season. They got to be better then RJ, right?

This guy HAS to be drafted 60
Yeah, but it still means they have to either sign him, or give up his rights, which is throwing away a 1st round pick.
No, the difference is that Bertans hasn't found that body Pop buried.
pick david lighty or deandre liggins at 59...i hope one of them will still be available
ESPN Insider
10(40) Milwaukee Jon Leuer 7-0 223 PF Wisconsin
Leuer stays close to home. He's big and a very good shooter -- he can really spread the floor. If he were a better rebounder, he'd have gone higher.
1(41) LA Lakers (from Golden State via New Jersey) Darius Morris 6-5 190 PG Michigan
Morris may be the purest point guard in the draft. He sees the floor well and has great size. If he learns to shoot a little, he can be a poor man's Andre Miller.
12(42) Indiana Davis Bertans 6-10 210 SF Latvia
The Spurs got this pick from the Pacers in the Kawhi Leonard trade. Bertans is just 18 and a crazy good shooter. San Antonio fell in love with him at the Adidas Eurocamp. Very good value here. This is a great draft for Spurs.
Those tend to go top 5 or so in the draft. We aren't exactly drafting from there.
The Spurs wouldn't have drafted Joseph if they didn't intend to sign him. I'm sure the Spurs got just who they wanted.
Joseph isn't near the reach that Hill or Mahinmi were.
whats with the lakers drafting PG's like kahn......
Keith Benson still there![]()
Wow, Selby is still on board.
Joseph's guaranteed money will barely be more than the minimum.
Chris Quinn this year made 800k. I don't think Hill's brow-beaten 80% was much more than that. Might have been less.
Rudy is perfect for Dallas: he's a complete whiney .
per shamsports
Hill in 2011: $854,389
Quinn in 2011: $804,131
relax about Joseph's money, it's peanuts
He can but but he won't because he is too young and raw. He is a draft and stash pick.
Benson, lighty, liggins still available
i want Isaiah Thomas with our last pick!!!!
With our last pick I'd be thrilled if someone would take that and RJ off our hands.
When the ESPN guys are projecting the picks as being for the new team, it's a done deal. It just hasn't been announced yet. The league has to review all trades.
Benson gone.
First off, love the fact that RC and Pop showed some cojones and moved up in the first round. Never thought that would happen. I have no idea why anyone is freaking out over the loss of Hill. Nice guy, but he's shown he can't deliver. Good luck to him at Indiana. Win/win for both sides. We got a defensive player, a backup PG, and a Euro stash. Seems like a great draft to me.
I still think the window has closed but I love the mix of youth and veterans we have next year. We probably won't be as good, but I think the season (assuming there is a semblance of one) will be exciting. I expect a shortened season with an insane number of back to backs that will actually give the young players more burn then in a normal 82 game season. Also, the shortened season has the potential to be unpredictable - which can't hurt.
Bojan Bogdanovic!
The capstone to a great draft.
