does it matter if you can't make a penalty?

how many games did lamela and almeyda get to play in they should have been suspended for? for that matter, why is their an average system in the first place? yeah, it must be because there is a conspiracy to favor small market teams and screw the poor millonarios![]()

I don't know what you're talking about, Lamela did use the 225 but that's a rule everyone can use, Almeya didn't so I don't kow what you're talkig about.
Say whatever you want but refs screwed us, plain and simple. I'm not saying the intentionally screwed us I'm just saying that we got a whole lot of bad calls against us. There was so much talk about how River can't lose the division and that refs would help us that it ended playing against us IMO, no ref wanted to go down in history as the ref that helped the winningest team in Argentina to stay in the first division an called against us anytime there was a close call, or as it was the case many times in clear as water calls.
I don't know what you mean about "average system".
Truth be told I haven't followed the local league since circa 2002... I only watch the NT these days.
i already adressed this: show me where other teams' execs have gotten caught- or even accused- of putting barras into the ref locker room so they can give them a death threat. after the your barras pulled in cordoba, they should have known they'd be under scrutiny. and despite that bull , you still got beat by belgrano, and because of that bull , you may end up in a hole that will take more than one year to dig out of. you deserve it.
oh andat you using the refs as the reason river went down. It had nothing to do with finishing dead last, nothing to do with being one of the most offensively inept teams in the league, nothing to do with consistently sucking for 3+ years. just sit quiet and take it like a man, belgrano whooped your ass. if you are going to cry about the caruso penalty, what about the legit belgrano goal that was disallowed 0-0? what about the belgrano goal afterwards that made the difference two again, or the first two for that matter? 3-1 over two games is not blame the refs material. just sit down and take it, river is a B league team and it isnt because of the refs.

And their stadium didn't get suspended or were taken points away from them.
You don't know about football if you think that goal was wrongly dissallowed, the players were offside and although they didn't touch the ball they were 30 cms in front of the keeper blocking his vision.oh andat you using the refs as the reason river went down.
And about Belgrano's goal, it was on a couterattack, if River would have been winning 2-0 that wouldn't have hapened. Either way, I'm not blaming River's division loss entirely on the refs, they did help but the guiltiest of them all is the ing thief Aguilar.
BTW, a B league team made more pts than you this season.
the game was suspended, and gimnasia was hit with a fine. there was no evidence beyond the refs statement which he refused to make public. And the important difference you are omitting though, is that happened 5 years ago and the climate/punishments are very different now- its not terribly common, but the few examples of teams getting points deducted from their campaign are recent and related to violence involving connections between execs and barras in promotion/relegation games, I'm not saying the incidents are identical but when speaking about security that shouldnt matter, the bottomline is things got out of control and the club hierarchy was involved. You said every team has ties with barras, true. However in 100+ years of argentine futbol, you can only show me one other case of a team exec taking barra thugs to threaten a ref inside his own stadium. the main thing here is there is video evidence, like I said when I brought this up, the big mistake was getting caught red handed. Id be surprised if they have the balls to deduct points even if technically they should, but they will definitely close your stadium, question is how long
when the freekick was hit no one was offside, if there was any offside it was by milimeters and the rules say the attacking players get the benefit of the doubt. what does the position of the keeper have to do with anything? if anything it shows what an idiot carrizo is for standing there instead of going out to get the ball and drawing contact inside his box, it would have been an automatic foul. the only way it is offside is if the ball was touched in the air, I dont see it.

but not in the last 3, thems the rules. Boca has never finished last like River did, that is what did you in. That, and your player's lack of balls, 3-1 Belgrano suck it.
WTF are you talking about? The Belgrano player is clearly offside when the freekick was hit and if a player is offside and blocking the goalkeeper's vision an offside call has to be made.
Typical classy Boca fan.but not in the last 3, thems the rules. Boca has never finished last like River did, that is what did you in. That, and your player's lack of balls, 3-1 Belgrano suck it.

same for boca next year?
this 3 years system is bull though. Maybe they'll try a 10 years thing to not allow any other important team to be relegated.
Reactions of a fan watching his team going down to B league.
His son recorded the video with a hidden camera.
It was hard to believe, that league is definitely compe ive, when a team like River can get relegated. That should have been impossible accounting three seasons. I always liked River more than Boca, but it seems that Boca is the top team in Argentina.
That's not a small difference, however getting relegated may have some future consequences.
Once River gets back to the first division, there will always be less confidence and also some players that could sign with River may choose to sign with other clubs.
Nah, when River went down Fernando Cavenaghi and Chori Dominguez two players that would be among the top ten/five players in the first division decied to sign for River (even though they would lose a lot of money) just becuase it was River. Most players would prefer to play for River in the second division than to play for any other club in the first division, that's how big River is. We're in a tough spot right now but once we get back there will be no future consequences other than havig to deal with Boca fans telling us we played in the second division.![]()
lol @ the new proposed tournament that joins the Nacional B and the 1st division...
lol Grondona and his mafia maneuverings
We're THAT big
Serious talk right now, this is re ed.
lol trying to save el escudito de Olé
River is chasing Arevalo Rios
Otro que también puede sacarle jugo a los números es River: los de Matías Almeyda sólo tendrán que ubicarse los primeros 14 ó 16. Con eso, alcanza para regresar a Primera.![]()
LOL Grondona
UNBELIEVABLE!
@ this... I don't know about Argentine football, but this is ridiculous if done over ONE team...

Actually, this helps more the teams that are close to relegation (Tigre, San Lorenzo, Racing, Boca) than River. River already went down, nobody is taking that stain out, if this thing happens it will only provide more things for other clubs' fans to laugh at us. There's not a single River fan I know that wants this to happen.
And according to the "specialist" this tournament isn't design to help River. It's designed to help the bussiness, supossedly this tournament will produce a lot more money an it will allow the Argentine football to be more "federal" (open to all parts of the country), right now the league is too centralized around Bs As and the nearbys.
It's bull though.
What's going on here is the government sticking it to media groups. They took away 1st division from Cable, and now they're taking the 2nd division away from them too.
Absolutely, ElNono.
lol @ clubs being pressured by the government to vote in favor of AFA because "some" money has not been sent yet (adjustment for inflation money, which is a clause in the contract all clubs signed 2 years ago).
lol @ clubs in financial problems, after 2 years of starting from scratch, and forced to vote positive because they need that money asap.
lol @ DAF thinking this is not about River Plate.
