I am in the market to purchase a new laptop, does anyone recommend a store that has a great price, it would have to have a wireless internet modem, cd/rw/dvd, and at a decent amount of space for papers, this will be my school computer.....your help is much appreciated.
Thanks Butta, i dont think they have enough memory though, i'll go check out that store though its close to the house
have you checked best buy??
Yeah but they are too pricey
Please ignore this if you've already thought of it but I customized my laptop on dell.com. You can customize everything--so you can get the memory you need for papers, the wireless card, and the CD drive you need. I hope this helps!![]()
Well i get a discount for working where i work on dells and we have a special part of the site where we can customize one, i customized a dell inspiration 6000 and it came out to like 800 bucks with a 250 rebat, but i dont know if had certain things that i need.
then never mind.
where have you been bat??
making people die from your ??
I've been at work, man that had to be the rowdiest i had taken too it was real wet and splashy
Bat, no one is going to beat Dell as far as price is concerned. Go with them.
but i'm ing stupid when it comes to purchasing computers i just want a comp that will be able to store do ents and download music on....what the should i look for?
hahaha.
did your butt burn after you finished?
no it wasnt y food that got me, is there a dell store around here?
i don't know.
ask Kori she should know.
There is a Dell Kiosk at North Star Mall, thats about it.
I know of a place (Office Depot) where a manager (me) works, they (I) might be able to help you out.
I'll sell you mine for $400.
P4 2.0 ghz
cd-rw/dvd
30gb hd
Scott, what size screen does it have? Does it have built in wifi?
Dell. Just don't get financed through them.
What school do you go to? UTSA has that little Gateway program.
Scott? Are you serious???
CompUSA has a decent Compaq for $550, of course there's a bunch of rebate crap involved. 256MB of RAM but I could sell you another SODIMM of Samsung RAM to double it for $20. One thing I don't like about Dells are their completely weak 90-day base warranty.
Yeah the warranty on Dells is pretty ing weak.
BTW, does anyone know where to take an LCD monitor to get fixed? Jess' monitor recently went on the fritz ( ing Dell!) and it is a nice monitor that saves room and I'm pretty sure if it is cost effective we would fix it.
It's a 15" I think. It's a Compaq Presario 1500. Not built in WiFi, but I'll throw in the WiFi card I have.
Damn. I wish probably the worst time for such a good deal to come by. If youhaven't moved it in a couple of weeks, I will probably take that bad boy off your hands, but I suspect with a price that good it won't be long before you do find a buyer.
I should point I bought it December 2002, so its almost 3 years old.
Tell you what Manny, since we go way back I'll pull it off the market until you are ready. Sorry other potential buyers.
