Another interesting note is LB Chet Moss will be moving to fullback for the time being and will meet with Major Applewhite tomorrow to start his new job.
Brown also said in the press conference that WR Brock Fitzhenry, TE Trey Graham and LB Patrick Nkwopara are done as well, but will continue with school. I'm still unclear whether or not they will still be a scholarship liability, but the fat is starting to trim itself.

Attrition is finally here, thank goodness. All the above mentioned names needed to go. The Malcolm Williams news stings, but it was expected. Best of luck to Malcolm. Go take your family young man.
Floss, I have to think that some scholarship spots opened up today. I know people are hoping for Kendall Sanders gets an offer, but I think Colin Blake and Corey Coleman are more likely. Coleman could be offered as a ATH.
I can't believe you didn't mention Nkwopara, Bill. It feels like that dude was never even on the team.
Coleman is definitely being looked at and I know for a fact that UT has called his coach to inquire. I think UT still needs to take a TE and a true safety in this class if they can. TE Dominic Ramacher of Denton Guyer is one I'd like to see UT pursue. Great Boise State type prospect. He'd do a lot of dirty work for you like Bergeron. For those of you who haven't seen him:

Is that QB Case McCoy and WR Jaxon Shipley rooming together?!? Oh, dear Lord. I hear Brent Musburger's corny commentating already.
On ATH Corey Coleman, I'll add that he'd probably be a Longhorn right now if Will Muschamp was still here. He loved the kid and was on him early. Don't be surprised if UT hits this one hard now that some attrition has occurred.
QB Connor Wood sighting on #28 and #34.
With the news of ex-UT target DB Geno Smith making his decison on August 17th, I figured we'd add another. OL DJ Humphries of Charlotte, NC is supposed to commit before end of the week.
Floss does Colin Blake fit your bill as a true safety? He'd work for me. I can't think of any in state pure safeties that are interested in Texas and uncommitted.
Coleman is my take as an ATH. Yes over Sanders.
I'd be OK taking Ramacher with the understanding that he'll do the dirty work while Ricky Seals - Jones is catching touchdown passes. I think I'll support taking another H-back more when I see a H-back actually utilized in Texas offense.
Chet Moss getting moved permanently to fullback is fascinating to me. The 247 guys believe position changes are sometimes used to gently nudge players out of the program. I wonder if the coaches are trying to nudge Moss out the door? My understanding is that Moss is a Muschamp guy, he might not fit what Manny is looking to do on defense. What makes it so interesting is Moss' excellent performance in the Spring Game.
I'll just leave this here: (the team actually watched this today)
Fully amped and torqued.
Dalton Santos is supposed to make a decision Friday afternoon.
Following up on this...turns out I was mistaken with Davis. Before attending J5 and having the opportunity to work with Akina, he favored the Ags. Looks like things have changed (hence the shirt). Here's a quote from earlier in the week:
"I'm leaning towards Texas right now," Davis said. "I'd have to say they have a step on everybody right now."
I'm too lazy to look it up right now because it's late, but did he ever make any of those SEC trips to Alabama or Tennessee? If not, sounds like the Ags are going to get a good one.
Good video interview with some of the upperclassmen:

He had visits to A&M, Alabama and Tennessee within the same week around mid july. It was reported that he'd narrowed it down to A&M and Tenn and a decision is coming at 3:30 pm tomorrow.
T got it right. Either Vols or Ags. I say Ags but things have been really quiet since he went to Knoxville. Neither would surprise me.
If it's between Tennessee and aggy then it is definitely aggy. I wonder why Bama isn't a contender
Apparently playing time is at the top of his list, which i could see Tenn being a good fit in that regard. He has also showed a desire to play in the SEC and has said that staying close to home isn't really a big deal. He has great relationships with the coaching staff and A&M current/future players which could sway him our way. Well find out soon enough.

Floss you beat me to the photos by 2 minutes
Pic 32 is my favorite
I think mine is the picture of all the freshmen DBs.
DE Tim Crowder signed with the Tampa Bay Bucs today. He'll be joining DTs Roy Miller and Frank Okam on the team.
2012 G J'mychal Reese from Bryan TX has committed to the Aggies. First pickup for new basketball coach Billy Kennedy.
