I'll give all my vbookie cash to 90210 if he doesn't respond in a defensive manner in a Vince Young thread (no matter if the topic is talking about how mentally challenged he is or talking about him splooging on the USC Reggie Bush laterals) for a year.

I think anyone would struggle trying to learn a new offense on the fly anyway, but add to the fact that the guy hasnt played in a real game since who knows when after Collins took over last year, and that makes it alot tougher. Besides, they arent going to use or need the guy much unless Vick seriously gets hurt. Some wild-cat plays involving Vick, Jackson, and Young should be pretty fun to watch though...

Vince "Kurt Cobain" Young isn't seeing field unless Vick gets hurt or they're up 30 points.

Really? Vince Young only got a really low score on a Wunderlich?

I bet he did real well on the matching bannanas and the sign language section.

    CU qbs are smarter.

Kordell Stewart breezed through the banana part.

    Oh you edited it, neat.

No, I made fun of Vince Young long before that drive. It's not like he's the only QB in NFL history who's led a comeback GW drive against a choking Cardinals defense.

In your opinion, is Jeff Fisher a good football coach?

For quarterbacks and today's NFL, no. I think he was a good-great football coach when you could win a superbowl with Trent Dilfer at QB (and make a superbowl with Kerry Collins at QB) relying on defense and running while passing when you needed to.

Vince Young still ed up plenty in Tennessee but obviously Fisher didn't make it easy for him.

See, I feel the same. He was good in the day but the game passed him by. He would rather be right and lose than be wrong and win, which is why he stuck with Collins for so long(0-6 to start that season) before he went with Vince, who came in and did well. If he woulda stuck with Young and managed the situation correctly we'd know by now if he really is legit or if 30-17 is a fluke.

Coaches like Fisher and John Fox are why I laugh at people who still use cliches like, "Defense and a power running game wins superbowls!"

Apparently most GMs don't care enough to find out.

You don't even have to be able to run the ball nowadays. Its weird. Its almost not even football anymore in a sense. You used to need a pro bowl or near pro bowl level rb and/or a great o-line to control games with the run to win it all. Even Montana had Roger Craig and Wendell Tyler running for 1,000 yard seasons and Elway couldn'teven win until he got Davis. But in those days you needed a rb. Now you can win with scrubs like Michael Pittman, whoever the Packers had, and Joseph Addai.

Just look at who played in the last 3 superbowls. In the '09 superbowl, the Cardinals and Steelers both had RB and below average offensive lines. In the '10 superbowl, the Saints had a great O-line but were a pass first team that didn't have any big name RB, and the Colts had a below average O-line with absolutely no running game at all. In the '11 superbowl the Steelers had like half their O-line on IR (but did have a stud RB) and the Packers had a decent O-line with their RB on IR since week 1.
