    There were two dreams?
Yeah, because he, unlike TD, went back to back.

If there is no NBA season and TD retires, the Spurs are DONE. Pop talked when Shaq was traded - saying some like it was equivalent to Russia breaking (something like that). The Lakers missed the playoffs once, had a few 1st round exits, then rang twice A.S. (after Shaq). Their championship window is still open. Can you say the same will happen with the Spurs A.D.?

Yeah, the great standard the Dream set as a 35 year old when he shot .394 in the playoffs? Or how about the one Ewing set at the same age shooting .357 in the playoffs?

Being 35 is no excuse for being a tired old bag:

    Mailman 27.0ppg/10.3rpg/3.9apg/0.9bpg
Elgin Baylor 24.8ppg/10.6rpg/5.4apg/(blocks stats not kept back in 1969)
    Kareem 23.9ppg/8.7rpg/3apg/2.7bpg
    Elvin Hayes 23.0ppg/11.0rpg/1.6apg/2.3bpg
    Ewing 20.8ppg/10.2ppg/1.1apg/2.2bpg
    Dan Issel 19.8ppg/
    Dream 18.9ppg/9.5rpg/1.8apg/2.5bpg
    Admiral 17.8ppg/9.6rpg/1.8apg/2.3bpg
    Shaq 17.3ppg/7.4rpg/2.0apg/1.4bpg
    Barkley 16.1ppg/12.3rpg/4.6apg/0.3bpg
Wilt 14.7ppg/19.2rpg/4.0apg (block stats not kept back in 1971)
    TD 13.4ppg/8.9rpg/2.9apg/1.9bpg

I have no counter-argument because Duncan's stats are actually in line with other big men so I'll now resort to speculation and pose questions that can't be answered.

    Shooting percentages!
    Summary:

    Only PPG counts.

    Championships don't count

    Shooting percentages don't count

    MPG don't count

If Malone had 4 rings by the time he was 35, he wouldn't had to blow Jerry Buss for a shot at legriding into a ring.

I'll finish that sentence for you.

Mike Brown coached a team with no talent outside of LBJ and guided them to back to back 60+ win seasons. When Mike Brown left the Cavs, they ended up with the #1 pick in the NBA draft.

Mike Brown now has a team with more talent than he ever had in Cleveland. A team that was swept and embarrassed that will come back with something to prove. His new team lost their defensive iden y which just so happens to be Mike Brown's specialty.

Mike Brown will allow Kobe ball and the Lakers will falter. No one respects Mike Brown after the debacle in Cleveland.

It's interesting how a coach can get such good results after inheriting such a powerhouse 1st overall pick.

, look at the job Doc Rivers did after getting just KG and Ray Allen.

I guess we will have to see. Kobe ball without Shaq was good for 2 rings and counting.

But don't bet on your theory bruh:
Mike Brown summarized Lakers offense during our lunch, and w/o naming names, it was Pau and Drew, not Kobe.

You know... I noticed your list has only 2 players that have multiple MVPs, FMVPs, and Rings.... Duncan and Kareem. I'll give you Wilt as the third, since they didn't have FMVP until 2 years after his first of two championships. Funny how you're making an idiot out of yourself.

And reaching to put a 6'5 SF Elgin on the list don't help either, moron.

6'5" was pretty damn tall back then li'l man. Going by your argument, I shouldn't include 6'4" Barkley either - who just so happen to play the same position: PF

And quit going on historical achievements. I know TD was a good player for a long time. Bottom line for me is of all the players I listed, he had the tiest overall stats. No way to spin that bruh.

It doesn't matter what Brown says. It's Kobe's team and will be if they ever set foot on the hardwood again. All that planning will go out the window as we all know Kobe ain't getting younger and is prone to go into chucker mode when it seems a lost cause.

Also, Kobe doesn't trust his teammates. He doesn't like them. He thinks they hold him back. He will shoot them out of contention unless he's injured.

The best chance the Lakers have is if Kobe gets injured. Pau and Lamar (not s bynum) will carry the Lakers and will play solid basketball. Pau can lead that squad like he did in 2009 and 2010.

    Spin this, got.

Playoff stats for legendary perimeter players at 33 years old:

    Michael Jordan: 31, 8, 5

    Larry Bird: 24.4, 9, 9

    Elgin Baylor: 28.5, 14, 4

    Jerry West: 23, 5, 9

    Alex English (at 34!) 24, 5.4, 4.4

    'Nique: 30, 5.3, 3

    Kobe Bryant, 22.8 3.4, 3.3

Kirby, worst stats of the bunch.

    Hence, the nickname tired bag.
This bag is just as tired when compared to past perimeter greats at 33:

    Michael Jordan: 31, 8, 5

    Larry Bird: 24.4, 9, 9

    Elgin Baylor: 28.5, 14, 4

    Jerry West: 23, 5, 9

    Alex English (at 34!) 24, 5.4, 4.4

    'Nique: 30, 5.3, 3

    Kobe Bryant: 22.8, 3.4, 3.3

So when 82 year old Horace Grant locked TD down to 3/14 in route to another Laker le, you must have been sick.

About as sick as you were when Bruce Lee Bowen locked Kobe down and outscored him enroute to another Spur le.

Or when Magic announced he had HIV

How many of the below big men could NOT put up 13/8 in today's NBA:

    Mailman
    Baylor
    Kareem
    Hayes
    Ewing
    Dream
    Admiral
    Shaq
    Barkley
    Wilt

Serious question and I need some serious answers.

How many of the below perimeter players could not put up 22, 3, 3 in today's NBA, especially with the rule changes that make perimeter scoring easier than ever before.

    Bird
    Wilkins
    Jordan
    West
    Baylor
    English
Nowitzki (well, we know the answer to that)

(Note: Elgin Baylor played like a slasher, quit including him, dumb ).

Serious question and I need serious answers.

Just know. I have a counter for EVERYTHING. You thought you were being clever until I showed you Kobe lacks behind his legendary counterparts in a similar way.

You can't defeat me in a battle of wits. No matter how many les those Purple 'n Piss suckers win. Feel free to stack up the O'Briens, but I'll sleep soundly knowing I'm vastly more intelligent than you. And also....

    I don't have HIV

Yeah, you're pretty in' stupid. But I have hope for you based on your latest comment in the Was Duncan Ever the Best Player in the League thread. Seems a light bulb finally went off in that dim brain of yours.
