IIRCt prior to Barkley's basket, Dan Marjle had nailed two back-to-back three pointers to get them close enough... no one ever did that for David prior to '96. Instead you have a series of clutch miscues (Strickland's over the head pass to nowhere in a GM 7 comes to mind)....
