Some updates to the UFC 136 card via UFC.com
http://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-136-fight-card-updates?136Verbal agreements are in for a third featherweight scrap on the stacked Houston fight card. "China’s best prospect, Tiequan Zhang, makes his return to the Octagon vs. the always-tough Darren Elkins at UFC 136," said UFC president Dana White.
Elkins most recently scored a hard-fought decision over Japanese judoka Michihiro Omigawa. Zhang's last bout was a first-round submission of Jason Reinhardt at UFC 127.
Tickets for UFC 136 may be purchased today using the pre-sale password HOUSTON at ToyotaCenterTickets.com.
Grispi Out, Phan in for Grice at UFC 136 updated August 12
Fresh from his exciting UFC 133 scrap with Mike Brown, The Ultimate Fighter's Nam Phan is back in October, replacing Josh Grispi against always tough Matt Grice.
"Josh Grispi had to withdraw from UFC 136 in Houston, but the always ready Nam Phan is stepping up and taking his place vs Matt Grice on October 8th," said UFC President Dana White. "Both fighters have verbally agreed to the featherweight matchup."
Massenzio and Cantwell to meet in Houston
Mike Massenzio and Steve Cantwell will look to get back to their winning ways this October at UFC 136
“Verbal agreements are in for a middleweight match between two former light heavyweights, Mike ‘The Master of Disaster’ Massenzio and Steve ‘The Robot’ Cantwell at UFC 136 October 8,” said UFC President Dana White.
Sonnen was on MMA Live last night, here is his interview: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6876995
Good seats are available for 150, anyone else wanting to get in on this? Getting to Houston seems to the only difficult part haha.
Also, a card is stacked as when Pettis is on the undercard.
JUst because they want to promote the main card on e
russov vs herman should not be on main card Pettis is the guy!
Matt Grice is out of his scheduled UFC bout on October 8th with Nam Phan due to injury, but Leonard Garcia has quickly stepped in to fill the spot and verbal agreements are in place, confirmed UFC president Dana White today.
Garcia and Phan previously battled to what many considered the most controversial decision of 2010, with Garcia taking home the W at the TUF 12 Finale last December. Their first rematch was postponed due to Phan's injury. Now, they will finally meet once again to settle the score.
It's the second change to the featherweight bout - Grice was originally slated to face Josh Grispi at UFC 136, but Grispi was forced to withdraw, sending Phan into the Houston lineup.

Nick Catone Out of UFC 136 Fight Against Aaron Simpson
http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/09/0...aaron-simpson/
Well guys I have my new opponent for UFC 136 and I am pumped for the challenge! My new guy is Eric "red" Schafer. I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to a very tough challenge. Eric is a big guy who is cutting down to 185 from his normal weight class of 205 where he fought Ryan Bader. He has a very tough ground game and I will have to be at the top of my game to beat him which is why I am so excited for this challenge.
Thanks for the support and keep checking back to my site for more inside info and more!

http://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-136-fight-card-updates?136With Dave Herman forced to withdraw from his UFC 136 bout against Mike Russow, the long-awaited rematch between featherweight standouts Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan has been bumped to the main card on October 8th in Houston, making this Pay-Per-View event one of the most stacked and action-packed of 2011.

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)
Champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (for lightweight le)
- Who knows which way this will go, but the rest of the LW division can't wait for it to be over
Champ Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian (for featherweight le)
Chael Sonnen vs. Brian Stann
- I like Stann (he will have a solid game plan for this fight, wouldn't surprise me if he won by submission) but I want to see Sonnen vs. Silva II
Melvin Guillard vs. Joe Lauzon
Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan
PRELIMINARY CARD ( e TV)
Demian Maia vs. Jorge Santiago
Well that reporter wasted 4 min of his life.. Nobody out-smack talks Sonnen. Doesn't happen..
"Tapping on logs and writing letters and putting them in bottles and throwing them in the ocean..."
I would totally do Chael in the ass. All those -boy trolls like Stretch and those other, "lol, mma" tools can quote me on that . IN THE ASS.
MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)
Champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (for lightweight le)
Champ Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian (for featherweight le)
Chael Sonnen vs. Brian Stann: hard to pick, dont care who wins really.

Champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard -- Nobody puts Frankie in a corner.
Champ Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian -- While I think it's chicken to drop to another weight class because you can't beat the top guys in yours, I simply can't root for a Brazilian not named Nog.
Chael Sonnen vs. Brian Stann -- Too much riding on this fight. No way Sonnen loses his chance to fight Silva.
Melvin Guillard vs. Joe Lauzon -- Gods dammit, how much longer until Guillard gets a le shot??
Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan -- Phan is/was/always will be a ball sack.
Should be a great show. If you're in the Houston area I highly recommend getting tickets. I've been to one UFC (UFC 102) and it was spectacular. It's a spendy night, but it's worth it!![]()
Anyone wanna buy my tickets?
