although the only ones I think that are flat out ahead of the rest in both conferences are the Ravens/Pats in AFC, and Packers/Lions in NFC.

I think Chargers/Bills/Steelers/Raiders/Texans/Jets really are all on about the same level with each other right now. Same for quite a few teams in the NFC, including some I didn't list.

    1. Ravens - if they had any consistent QB play they would destroy the AFC w/ ease.
    2. Pats
    3. Steelers - slew of injuries, but they'll win 11-12 games with that schedule
    4. Chargers
    5. Raiders

Texans are too banged up, and I can't get a read on the ans. The Jets will be back at some point too.

    NFC:

    1. Packers
    2. Saints
    3. Lions
    4. Giants
    5. 49ers

I would add Saints to the NFC's top teams as well, but otherwise I agree.

This is one of the weakest years in recent history IMO..

    AFC:

    1. Patriots
    2. Ravens

These are 2 flawed teams, Patriots' defense is horrible, and Baltimore's QB is average, but they are both a level above any other teams in the conference..

    3. Pittsburgh
    4. San Diego
    5. Buffalo

The Steelers and Chargers haven't looked great, the Bills are the Bills, but I can't think of any other teams to rank above them..Houston would be 3rd, if Johnson and Williams weren't out..

    1. Green Bay
    2. New Orleans
    3. Detroit

There's a dropoff after these teams IMO..

    4. San Francisco
    5. New York, although they are inconsistent as
