No, it's not a joke group. They've been popular for months now and it's not the type of crap where it could be a complete joke. Their two famous songs are both catch phrase songs (meaning they don't actually have lyrics they just find different ways to repeat a few catch phrases throughout the song) and they love those god awful Dubstep/techno/whatever its called beats.
