If there was a simple solution to fix income inequality, someone probably would have thought it up by now. Right now, all they need is their rage/passion.
This again? The end game is obviously financial reform legislation. Jesus ing Christ can we move past the stupid they're not protesting about anything meme?

I also think that it comes down to an indictment of the two party system. As much as people like dan and darrin try to make them into democrats its pretty obvious that they are a bunch of people that do not feel represented by either choice.
Whats the avenue to change that? Cons utional amendment? I cannot think of much else seeing how SCOTUS made it clear that congress cannot legislate to curb corporate campaign finance on interpretations of the first and fourteenth amendments. Our single member districts force the situation into a one on one cir stance and those tow are so entrenched in so many ways.
It just saddens me that it looks like things are going to have to get worse for people to fully understand the type of changes this country desperately needs.
The end game is much more in-depth than that...
Financial reform legislation, getting rid of the fed, reforming money in politics, especially corporate money, prosecuting the fraudsters who sold bad loans as AAA investments, even creating post-capitalist market structures so workers have more invested in their own businesses and eliminate CEO pay.....
We don't need change! We just need republicans in office! They'll fix everything by giving the banks and wall street all the money and then things will naturally trickle down!
megadittoes
The regularity is damning. I think Darrin cares. I think he cares a lot. Enough to self destruct, almost every time.
How many Tea Party protesters were arrested in the first couple months I wonder?

Still means that 44% approve.
Seems like to me that's more Obama supporters than the general populous right now.
OK, I'll bite.
Was it called a ball or a strike?
Where's the green party?
I thought the correct acronym was BOA. Not BoA.
When I see BoA, I think of:
You really need to stop guessing and actually start looking. Gallup has it at 43% ie given the degree of error inherent in these things: dead on with the general populace.
If, and keep in mind, that is IF your information is correct, then I will agree.
Don't let a thing like actual numbers deter you from your own personal bias, WC! Your intuition trumps facts every time!
If my bias is the problem, then why must you (and your bias) have to point it out?
He used an actual number, genius. What is biased about that?
DarrinS made the claim. You agreed with it. Neither of you provided any data but resorted to aggressive hyperbole.
I cited numbers and said the numbers pointed to your logic being wrong.
You are so delusional you cannot see a basic chain of events. People who disagree with you are biased and wrong before you even consider their position. And rather than admit you made an error here in haste to condemn the movement, you immediately resort to accusing me of bias. Typical.
It's just possible that WC thinks a known bias (say, against whatever WC says) disqualifies everything the speaker says, even things that are evidently true.
(The malign and twisted will that lights on the truth to show up what honorable, patriotic men have said, is little to be trusted and even less encouraged.)
Significantly so?
lol WC
I just heard today that an Occupier only tipped someone 5% on their breakfast!
MAYHEM!
Those people deserved it! You know who uses those streets Cry Havoc? JOB CREATORS. How dare those people try to sit down while the people who run this country are trying to trickle wealth down to them!
Edit: Well, at least they were warned...
I guess that makes it ok.UC Davis Police Lt. John Pike warns protesters they may be pepper sprayed if they did not give police a clear path to remove other protesters who had been arrested earlier in the protest. Wayne Til /Enterprise photo
