That's right, not 20% or even 22%. A new NBC poll has W's approval rating at a dismal 2% among African-Americans

Apparently, watching thousands of one's people drown, starve and dehydrate while the man responsible for assisting them squeezes a couple of extra days out of his vacation tends to make folks appropriately cranky. According to NBC's Tim Russert, the network's latest poll has only 2% of blacks saying they approve of the job Bush is doing as president. Those are Ku Klux Klan-like levels. I bet Newt Gingrich had better numbers than that among blacks as Speaker of the House during the Clinton impeachment. I bet Jefferson Davis had better numbers as the president of the Confederacy during the Civil War. Apparently Condi Rice, Minister T.D. Jakes, Ken Blackwell, and a tiny handful of other sellouts are the only black folks left in America still willing to support this monkey.

Meanwhile, it seems that the perfect storm of the Iraq debacle, high gas prices, fatal incompetence, cascading corruption investigations, and the worst Supreme Court nomination in US history have given the Democrats their best shot to make significant gains in Congress for the first time in decades. The only question is: do they have what it takes (courage, a humanely-centered vision, self esteem, etc.) to capitalize?
    The Intelligence Squad

Geezz, I bet even MFD or Whott have a better than 2% approval rating in this forum.

First and foremost that would be Nagin and at last sighting he was still Black.

    Other surveys paint a different picture;

USA TODAY poll: In the survey, By more than 3-to-1, they say Bush doesn't care about black people. By more than 2-to-1, whites say he does.
Twenty five percent (25%) of Blacks state that he cares about them, not bad consider the way they have been brainwashed by the Dems and the black activists, white/jew hating Jesse Jackson (who was simlutaneously loving and hating the bush, Sharpton, Bellafonte, Mfuse, etc...

The poll of 1,005 adults has a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points. Additional African-Americans were interviewed to provide a more statistically reliable comparison; the survey of 262 blacks has a margin of error of +/-7 percentage points. The sample of 848 whites has a +/-4 point error margin.

We'll take the liberty of adding the 7% and say that 32% of Blacks disagree strongly enough with the notion that Bush hates Blacks that they'll buck the tide and proclaim (to a likely white interviewer) that 'you can take your dam poll and shove it'!!! That's powerful stuff!!!
Considering the strength of Black Solidarity that's an extremely high percentage.

Apparently "The Intelligence Squad" didn't realize that sample was as reliable as a Nbadan guarantee...

Even within the MOE the best case scenario is 9% for Bush. Instead of attacking me for reporting this, why don't you attack the President's policies, or lack thereof, that have destroyed his support, and the Republicans running for Senate and Congress seats in 06 I may add, among the African American community.

You cite a poll based on weak statistical significance and you want us to jump to your conclusion? that.

The statistics are skewed because they intentionally sought out a disproportionate number of African-Americans as opposed to it being a completely random poll, none-the-less they made up for this small anomaly by increasing the size of the MOE. Fairly standard stuff Marcus, unless you've never taken a statistics course.

    Obviously you have not.

You are attempting to draw an inference on the at udes of African-Americans towards Bush based on that sample. The overall racial composition does not matter. An increase in the sample size is not going to increase the MOE.

    Try again.

and democrats never take advantage of the poor... lol

The Democrat-run Washington D.C., government has been caught with its hand in the taxpayer-funded cookie jar. Jim McElhatton of the Washington Times reports:

The D.C. government employees tasked with providing care to the city's poor have taken home nearly half of the more than $1 million in bonus money awarded by the District during the first half of fiscal 2005.
Nearly 400 employees in the D.C. Department of Human Services (DHS) received approximately $479,000 in extra money in their paychecks from Oct. 1, 2004, to March 31, 2005, according to D.C. Office of Personnel records.

Citywide, the D.C. government awarded 565 bonus payments for $1.06 million.

D.C. City Council member Adrian M. Fenty, chairman of the council's Committee on Human Services, which oversees the Department of Human Services, yesterday said he's going to conduct an inquiry of the department's bonuses.

"The Department of Human Services is not one of our better-running agencies right now," said Mr. Fenty, Ward 4 Democrat and mayoral candidate. "We're going to do a full scrubbing of this."

Meanwhile, Hurricane Farrakhan is on schedule and slated to blow into town tomorrow for a weekend of Bush-bashing, race-baiting, and tinfoil-rattling.

No word on whether the race hustlers will address local D.C. government corruption.

But convicted Death Row cop-killer Mumia abu Jamal has already issued his welcome letter. And they'll be plenty of hip-hop to distract the crowds.

Big suprise that 98% of the people polled see Kanye as a political mastermind. I mean, if the guy can rap and dress nice, he must know what he's talking about!

Statistically speaking, Bush's approval rating among blacks is 2 +/- 7 percent.

So, it's possible within the 95% certainty range that Bush's approval ratings could be as high as 9%, which of course is much better, just as going 7-75 over an NBA season is better than going 2-80.

On the other hand, it's also possible that Bush is so universally unpopular among blacks that as many as 5% went to the trouble of disapproving of him twice, thus giving him 105% disapproval among blacks.

IMHO, people's opinion of Bush in not favorable and the "staged" talk with our soldiers in Iraq this week did not help.

Don't hold your breath, ad hominem is the only way that most conservatives really know how operate, as this thread aptly demonstrates.
