Yes I could care less about Finley once he went with the Spurs. And I do remember that now. The next year Finley sucked. Dallas was better with Josh Howard getting more touches and Adrian Griffin played a good role which allowed Dallas to be a better team than with Finley in from years 2005 and 2006.

Get over it. I don't keep track of San Antonio as well as you do. But I do watch a ton of Mavs games. Finley in his last 2 years in the playoffs for the Mavs was very inconsistent. His defense was also poor. He had to go because his ego would not allow him to be a bench player.

Dallas has a better shot at Deron than, say, Milwaukee, but not nearly enough to risk everything. I just keep telling myself that maybe Cuban has some brilliant master plan that I can not yet comprehend. I'm pretty sure I'm lying to myself.

And I like Finley. He gave us some good years with the Big 3. I was happy to see him win one...though I've never minded San Antonio since they aren't pure evil like LA or Miami.

One is a 5y contract, the other 4y. He dont give up the money, he just doesnt have it guaranteed. But most of it he would get "back" with next contract...
