The bigs were better than Kobe in the '08 and '10 finals? uh ok
Are you suggesting Kobe coattailed his first 3 rings?

Kobe played well in the '02 finals (27/6/5/51%) and still averaged 29/8 in the '10 finals, bad % but still 29/8 is bad?
Shaq was better in '02. Gasol was better in '10. Both had better % than him. There's no reason for him to chuck. It cost him '04.

The key? When he had to yell at him, Fisher was standing in California because of those 7 last second victories that Kobe garnered in the first 82 games.
Kobe was always more dominant in the RS. When facing teams with elite wing defenders and good bigs covering the paint, it was a different story, though.

That being said, even when Kobe was at the top of his game, he struggled in making his team mates better. So he only has 1 mvp.

It's often said that Kobe had limited talent around him in those years, well it wasn't so bad really. Duncan (and Dirk) had won championship without other all-star players.

Even Shaq's Lakers teams had limited talent besides Kobe.

this thread is unnecessary and sad, tbh..

Kobe's still a good player, a top 10 player, he's currently better than Tim Duncan..no need to make a thread about it, just because the forum mocked Kobe's poor perormance in clutch time..

There is a difference when Phil Jax runs the offense. Kobe missed the playoffs without him.

    TS%

    Your most important stat.

The stat Kobe never leads the team in.

    He was injured that year
It was around 15 games. He missed around the same number of games in 00, 01 and 04. The triangle offense Phil run, gave open looks and higher fg%. He's also a great defensive coach.
