Bro, last year was a serious of unfortunate events. This team dominated clippers a team that would have beat them last year
I still think we're short one big. I'm also not sold this Clippers team makes the playoffs, tbh. Too early.
The Clippers will be fine I think. They haven't found their stride, how could they? Remember how long it took Miami last year to find theirs? , you have so many new guys. How can Paul, Billups, Blake, Butler and Jordan (not to mention Mo Williams) not make the playoffs?
I think it would be tragic if the Clippers didn't make the playoffs. But I'm not sold on them as contenders either. They have a strong core but I doubt Griffin knows the start of being the best player on a championship team quite yet. And at that, I don't think CP3 can lead a team to a le. Even one with Blake Griffin.

True. Vinny very well may be over his head. During a couple of his in game shots he looked a bit lost, not angry, not happy, just owning this blank, saucer-eyed stare.

The Spurs won that game by getting hot from 3pt land like a lot of games last year. They didn't defend well last year. Lack of defense hurt them against the Grizzlies when they couldn't make their 3pt shots. I agree there's good signs on the defensive end. But don't underestimate our reliance on the 3 ball yet. The good news is that we've been winning despite our 3 point specialist being abysmal* out there. At least RJ is hitting timely threes.
*While he shot 2/4 today, the last 3 was when we were already up 25, and he's shooting 30% so far in 2 games.

They had a massive server crash that nuked the whole board. Everything was lost...the old format, all the old posts and threads...everything. Syxx tried to rebuild it from scratch but with the old board gone things just weren't the same and it eventually died.Wut happened to nbawire?

TWF posted under the same name. He would stop in occasionally with his takes and I eventually ran his ass off because I got tired of it. I was moderating the Spurs board there at the time.
That place was great in the mid 00's. Never was the busiest board but it had a core group of posters that were solid. I really cut my teeth there from a posting standpoint and made a lot of good friends. Sucks that all of us were scattered all over the country because I would have loved to have had a beer with some of them.
And they played all three together for a stretch in the second half.
Or, like that season where you lived by the 3 and died by the 8.
