Big win. A little uncomfortable, but a very good win and Spurs *should* have a shot tomorrow.
A shot? At OKC, 4th game in 5 nights, no Manu? If the Spurs win that one, it, they're going 64-2.

Spurs were able to manage minutes and OKC will be on the third game of a back-to-back-to-back.

He played for his NT over the summer, also played overseas during the lockout. He shouldn't look this bad.
I don't think he's looked that bad. He's had some bad plays here and there, but he's also had some big plays.

He's been inconsistent for sure, but bad? No. At least not to the level some of you are making him out to be.

I completely disagree that it looks like he's lost a step.
Well, I've provided my reasoning, what is yours? I would say many agree with me on how he looks. The reasons as to "why" or if it's too early to tell are up in the air, but not many disagree that he looks to have lost a step to date this season.

Again, you comment on something I said, but miss the point. It's not about his impact or the fact he is playing "bad". It's only about how he looks physically. You can lose a step and still play ok. He's not playing well, but that's not what I was saying. I think it's pretty clear that TJ Ford looks much faster and quicker than TP and that hasn't been the case over ummmmmmmmmmmm the past 5 years or so.

Your reasoning is that he's lost a step. Unless you can somehow prove that I don't think that you and I are going to move past that. I've seen too much good out of TP this season to think that he's lost a step.

There's been a lot of bad too, and I don't deny that, but the presence of good in itself doesn't really help your "lost a step" theory.

That has more to do with TJ looking healthy now than Parker somehow losing a step.

I don't think its really possible for a player like Parker (or TJ) to play as well with a lost step because both require so much out of their speed and quickness. I think thats why ultimately TJ suffers when he's not healthy, for example.

TP has actually been pretty clutch, but the majority of his minutes have been pretty meh and I haven't seen him finish at the rim nearly as much as he has in previous years. We saw flashes of it tonight though.

That said, it could be that he's tired/needs to save his legs/letting other guys do more. Let's hope so.

My reasoning is statistical evidence that points in that direction as it has with other players who have lost a step physically. If you don't want to buy into that because it's early, fine, I wouldn't disagree. But right now he looks to have lost a step, the early stats support that to a degree.

Again, you can lose a step and still play "good". I don't think ANYONE would classify how TP is playing this year as "good". That supports my theory along with the numbers that usually are a good indicator on whether or not someone has lost a step.

That was an awesome game! Very exciting and great play from both teams. But what's with this schedule? Seems like the Spurs are playing every day.

Parker isn't playing well. By all accounts he's not playing really anywhere close to how he was. That's not to say he's awful or he hasn't had "good" moments, but as a body of work to start this season, you would classify him as good?

I missed Hollinger's lost a step index but I digress. We'll revisit this a month or two from now.

I don't want to argue with you about this because we won't know until the season goes on. I love TP, I'm happy the Spurs won, but it's something to me that has stuck out so much and because he is so crucial to this team, it's alarming too me. That's all.

Well its pointless to argue because neither of us can actually prove it conclusively one way or another. We'll see in a couple of months. If TP's play hasn't improved your case will be much stronger.

If players around TP continue to play well it should make his job much easier right now. Opposing teams are likely coming in and keying on him since they don't have Manu to worry about now and Tim isn't the force he once was so that may be a factor as well. There are alot of variables involved of course but right now its encouraging that he's managing to play well in the fourth, if nothing else.

Yep,I expected Tony around 20 ppg or more but he's not even close and his Fg% are lowest than ever.

I still believe he will return to his level He is playing much better last 2 games.

But 14 ppg 40% FG... man he lost at least one step

I'm hoping this is just Pop ordered and TP is settling for jumpers to save the wear & tear and that hopefully he gets his legs back.
