Tim's decline is hard to watch. Used to be when he'd face his man up dude was toast and would have to either foul or get driven by for an easy two. Now getting rejected three times in a half?
Go back and watch 2003 Tim and then watch a Spurs game this year. It's ing tough.

You missed my point. He used to have a variety of moves he could go to because his legs still worked. Now he has to go to a limited set of moves because he's not strong or quick enough to get away with many of the moves he built his career on. He's only predictable because his body has let him down. He still knows more about the post than just about any other guy out there.
No I get that... But if he started using that up and under or the "dream shake" how much more effective could he be? David Robinson learned from Timmy when he first came in. You don't necessarily need to be strong or quick to do those up and unders

The good news is it's a close game... the bad news is that neither Lowry or Martin have gone in their usual runs yet...

I really didn't think it would be possible for the defense to be worse than it was last year.

Talk about late bloomer: two years ago Lowry had no jumpshot to speak of, now he nails them consistently. Gotta respect the baby-faced assassin's tenacity.

That deep 3 by Lowry is a perfect example of a BS shot falling for opponents.

Energy was better. A little disappointed that the Spurs only trimmed the lead by 1.

Of course Harlem Globerockets hit any BS shot though. Like always.

In Parsons and Budinger, the Rockets have the market cornered on underrated small forward white guys taken in the second round.
Bud is a one-dimensional mental midget, if his shot is not falling then he is useless. Parsons is well-rounded which is why he stole Bud's starting role.

I'm not sure why more Spurs fans aren't concerned by the fact that DeJuan Blair can't grab defensive rebounds anymore. If Blair can't rebound, his career is basically over.

Also, I expect Bonner not to set foot on the floor based on his 1st half play... bring the Toros kid... if we're gonna have a traffic cone, might as well get the kids some minutes

Because he's scoring. Not saying its right, but thats why they don't care.

    Yup, sad but inevitable.

He has no lift or explosiveness left, so he can't operate in the post against even a half-decent shotblocker any more - he's lost all power off two feet and can now only leap off one when running (thus all the running hooks and jumpers).

Yeah Tim's game isn't really physical. He just needs to be more crafty and aggressive.

He's become a progressively worse defensive rebounder as his career has progressed, and I have no idea why. With that wide body he should clean up on the D board.

He's rebounding offensively is prob why. I'd rather defensively but he appears to be leaking out and defending on the perimeter more.
