What a way to drop your first home game![]()
The role players that were making shots last week can't make now.
Green, Neal, Bonner, Jefferson...
What a way to drop your first home game![]()
Pop, RJ, Bonner, Neal = F times a million
it was a good play but not for green.
Another poor loss that Spurs should've won. The worst part is we get to play the Rockets tommorow, a team we have struggled with greatly this season.![]()
It's pretty simple really. Our role players who usually hit open shots are not right now. Bonner, RJ, Green and Neal have all been pretty bad shooting the ball as of late and we wont win with that. They keep getting open look after open look and its brick city over and over again with those guys. Especially Green and Neal.
but lets go back to blaming it on Pop and Parker.
That sucks. Take easy win at home, against Sacto, and dont give a about resting for tomorrow, until you secure a win. Pop fault, this game was a lost. Too much Bonner, too much Green.
well that sucks.
lmao losing to Kings at home
Look, Tim is not the same as he once was but I'd rather have the corpse of Tim Duncan in a game playing point guard then RJ at any position.
Also, these Spurs do not have a high margin of victory so Pop ing around with Danny Green last second shots when you have much better options all around is enough to make me want to punch a baby.
Pop's brain belongs on the injury report.
Pop played that lineup almost the whole 4th quarter. Guys were tired. And when he took Bonner out, instead to stay big with TD he went small. We were up 4 at that point
I couldn't see the end, but is it Danny Green who took the last shot... AGAIN???
WTF Since when is he anywhere close to a clutch shooter??
Not Duncan, Not Parker?
I honestly don't get it...
would really love to understand pop's reasoning for not playing kawhi and duncan the last couple mins of the game.
The Spurs choose not to have a back up point guard. They picked the guy for a reason. The guy that was picked ahead of him currently gets heavy minutes on one of the best teams in the league. I expect the Spurs not to give up on a first round draft pick just because he's not Michael Jordan right out of the gate.
it does suck ass. Pop will blame the loss on Splitter now.
I am ok with giving Tiago the minutes, he's earned them. While continuing to give Green last second shots is strange he did end up with a way above average look.
Spurs win, had they given a stronger effort and more energy in the 1st quarter..they put themselves in a bad hole, against a bad team..
I would have ran a play for a 3-pointer at the end..
That's fair. RJ certainly didn't help at any point, so having him in the game for so long makes little sense.
I've never seen a coach refuse to play his two best 7-footers together. He sat Duncan in the 4th and paired Bonner with Tiago. The Orlando win just became meaningless because this game should have been a W.
That's really all it is. They shoot lights out = we win games. They don't = we lose. It was like that all last season as well but our guys were having unbelievable years shooting the rock.
I knew that 1st quarter would come back and bite us in the ass.
Evans lucky ass 3 to end that quarter was the killer.
They shot 23% from 3 compared to 20% for the Spurs... I will put this loss both on Pop for not playing Duncan the last 3 mins and, frankly, TP played like garbage for a good amount of the game too.
I can't believe he got more minutes than Bonner tonight...judging by the boxscore he played well, but I didn't see the game so........
Tim has missed some huge putbacks at the end of games, one in Detroit that I recall for sure.
Not to mention we are without Manu and TJ who is a pretty big loss right now seeing that Tony is gassed at the end of every game here.
