I am a big fan of Dragič so I realise I am far from being objective.

    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/goran_dragic/ - his stats

Could he be a starter in the NBA one day?

Do you think he can get much better? I can't help myself thinking how Nash played his best basketball when he was 30+. Goran is 26.

And secondly... how would you rate Kevin Martin? His stats look nice at the first glance but a deeper look at them and especially his play makes me think that Rockets would do best to trade him for a decent big. (they have Parsons and Budinger playing at his position)

In the two games he's started this year he's averaged 15 points, 9.5 assists, and 55% shooting. Small sample size but in limited time he's played well as a starter. I think he'd be better off as a starter than as a bench player who's never in for more than a few minutes as he was someone who needed to get settled in when he was in Phoenix.

He's definitely talented. Needs more PT and freedom though.

I think he could be a starter one day. Dragic will probably never be an all star, but he could be a solid player on a contending team. He can distribute the ball and has a good shot. He is a clutch performer as any Spurs fan can attest. His only problem is he keeps getting stuck on teams with better point guards. I think he is better than several teams starting point guards today.

Kevin Martin is a good scorer, but virtually every other facet of his game is average to below average. He is the type of player that ideally you want coming off the bench. A guy that can give you some easy buckets while your starters rest.

He's a baller, if Lowry didn't start stepping his game up the past couple years he'd prob be starting for us.

Do you think Rox should trade Martin for a talented young big?

Or a better question - can they? I am not sure he has enough trade value to get anyone decent.

Nah I don't see it, no one will take him and if they do we'll only get back.

Dragic is exactly what Lakers need.

Combo/PG with shooting and play-making, while not being 37 years old.

I was just thinking Dragic would be a perfect fit on the Lakers. He would bring much needed three point shooting, and he doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time. With Kobe in the back court controlling the offense a majority of the time Dragic would be a perfect compliment. Can't say I would be to pleased to see that Spur killer in purple and gold though...

There's definitely teams out there with worse starting point guards.
