I wonder if anybody on the Spurs have ever thought about slapping RJ on his bald head.

He closed out so hard on that last Memphis' basket that the player just blew by him and laid it in for a layup. That dude has a lot of brain in that big head but not a lot of smarts.

Anyone listening to the MEM call on LP? They just said "This isn't a good team we are playing. MEM has to come out strong and if we play well, it should be a 15-20 point win. They are really bad on the road, 2-8. Respect them because they are an NBA team, but this isn't the Spurs you know. Don't show them too much respect because they aren't who you think they are"

That's part of him not being a great athlete. He's a good one, but appears to have trouble getting lift when he's running full speed, as you would on a break especially when he's handling the ball.

The great thing is, he's still so young and nubile that the Spurs professional million-dollar-paid strength staff should have room to improve his explosiveness and burst. Not that he'll become Shawn Marion, but he can definitely get more explosive.

I disagree. It's part of him being young. Those are monster dunks that he makes in college. He's going to figure out the speed of NBA players soon and throw them down. I've seen him get going too fast and time his jumps badly, but that's got little to do with athletecism.
