tired. never played a condensed season. I'll give them Blair and a filler for him TBH
His buyout is too high.
Oh... wait..

Not with the size and length of his contract. I wouldn't touch it.
Man don't tease me...
It was just last year that Scola was his usual dominant self - scoring and rebounding at will against virtually any team. After 4 meetings with the Spurs this year, it's clear that this guy had declined. Oh, he still had his moments, but his overall impact on the game has been greatly diminished. If the Rockets didn't have Kevin Martin, and his prolific scoring, they'd be in big trouble.
RJ for Scola would be a bad trade for both teams.
The amnesty rule has created an asymmetrical effect. Spurs can amnestied RJ and Rockets can do the same with Scola but it they are traded for each other, none can be amnestied. Swapping a bad contract for a bad contract can now be a bad move instead of just being a lateral move. Spurs best interest with RJ is now to keep him before amnestying him to create cap space.
There were some rumors in the Arg media about HOU trying to trade him again last week. Apparently there's some chemistry issues in the team too...
This is not a Scola thread
We should wait til he's amnestied.
Lots of talk around Houston on the radio and elsewhere about a perceived 'lack of effort' by the team, not just Scola although he comes in for his share of criticism.
McHale fueled this with his coments after a recent loss. I can see old school McHale fuming if he feels his players aren't giving 100% every game.
Getting ready for the Olimpics.
LOL, I'm reminded of a story of Feynman's at the 13:10 mark of this video
maybe scola need carl laundry ...
Scola can't jump much, but he's average height PF. He seldom block shots and doesn't play much defense. He would probably be better off the bench for the Spurs.
