Some of y'all no about basketball. You geniuses want to take the best driver in the game and u want to put 2 7 footers (Bynum and his man) in the paint and 2 more at the high post (pau and his) and combine that with Artest and Fish and u think that team wins the west? That team would still be slow, though a better defensive one, b ut Lebron would. Be on the perimeter feeding poor shooters and he would not have Wade to close games out. I know the sounds good in theory bit on practice that is a bad fit. I told u guys when James was with the CAVS crowding the paint with a 7 footer is dumb. When your team features Lebron Pau makes sense because he can stretch his man ...but even with James this Laker team would be conference finals at best. Add lebron and clips, okc are still better and Dallas would zone the out of that team

Same here. Kobe's .250 FG% in the last 24 seconds of a game is huge.

Lets take it further, Lebron with no one as good as Wade or evenn Bosh (Pau used to be) Bynum may some day be, with Fish at PG a rookie backing him up and Troy Murphy as the backup big with Barnes or kapono o godlock at SG that team wins the west? ! LMFAO PLEASE BRING BACK KOOL because dumb threads are obviously not all his fault
He took a team starting Sasha Pavlovic, Drew Gooden, and Boobie Gibson to the Finals. I think he can manage with Bynum and Gasol.

And he ended up in last place with 28 others teams.

None of that getting to the Finals bs, Lee.

Uh, uh. Nope. Not here. Not while I draw breath.

Not saying that Kobe could have led those scrubs to the Finals, he wouldnt have, that's for sure

But that 2007 run was an anomaly, and the fact that the Pistons underachieved was a part of it

Not even arguing that they wouldn't b better bcuz they would b only a Kobe fanboi wouldn't. Admit that just saying they don't win the west and that CA team though limited was built for lebron to drive they had no bits in the paint ...z is a shooter and verejao a screener ...Lebron with 2 7 footers is a bad pairing plus this Lakers team lacks shooters to space the floor.

The current version of Kobe is an inferior shooter to Lebron, which was previously one of his only advantages in the comparison..

Kobe is a better post player, but he has barely used his post game, this season..historically, he has been the superior clutch player, but he has been horrible in clutch time, this season, IIRC..

Lebron is the slightly superior jump shooter..much better and more willing passer..much better individual and team defender..much better rim attacker and finisher..he has every advantage, at this point..

The Lakers with Lebron would be on the same level as OKC, easily..also, if Lebron doesn't wanna shoot in the Finals, it wouldn't matter, Derek Fisher takes those big shots, anyways..

agree Lebron is better at everything except mid range jump shooting and post play ... switch the two and Lakers are better Heat worse. But this Lakers team sux outside of Kobe Pau and Bynum and Lebron isgteat but maybe only Jordan gets this team to the Finals

Let's b real Lebron getting that cave to the Finals was great impressive. But giving. Lebron. Better talent did not help him go farther in the east and he was unable to ring with Wade and Bosh. Until. He does making assumptions on what he could do with the Lakers is pretty dumb why don't we let him ring with the stacked roster he has before claiming him saviour of a flawed Laker team.

NO pretty sure Lebron would take advantage of having 2 allstar bigs unlike a certain player. Lebron wouldnt play Jordan like Kobes been trying too do. He would play Magic and average 12+ assist a game. Lebron would get his points when Gasol & Bynum are on the bench & off of fastbreak points. Lebrons also the best all around defender in the game today. Put lebron on Paul when you play the clippers & put Lebron on KD when the play the thunder. Their lakers are Back in the Finals against the bulls.

If Lebron were a Laker, Big ties Bynum would be a perrenial 20-12 guy. And Gasol would average around 18-19ppg. He would recognize the talent in the paint and give them the ball at the expense of his own scoring average.

And they would be destine to lose in the post-season due to their leader having no backbone. Unless you want to suggest Bynum would be a successful leader, because it's already shown Pau can't lead.

Pau anchored, just like Duncan anchored in 2005 when Manu lead the team.

wat? pau can't lead? he's the one who dragged kobe's 6-24 dead corpse across the finish line in game 7 vs the celtics.

Exactly. Lebron is a badass but do people really think he can make up 4 no PG, no SG. No bench and the worst 3pt shooting in the league? If so he ie not only better than Kobe ...MJ better watch out ...
