I love the persecuted Christian whining I always hear too, as if us atheists are saying we want to make their supers ion illegal or force priests to marry s in front of a crying Baby Jesus. They want to deny the pursuit of happiness to a segment of the population, and act like those who don't follow their ideology are the intolerant ones even though I never hear an atheist trying to deny the rights of bible-thumpers to marry. Christians are the kings of false equivalences in these kind of debates.

However, to answer you question: "No". Sex is the result of sexual attraction. Marriage is the result of love, IMO. (Sexual attraction being a component of that) (looks at own post-marriage girth and has epiphany regarding lack of sex - then continues eating krispy kreme)

There were some posted on the Prop 8 thread, both by boutons and the one I just quoted from FromWayDowntown. It's only a partial list.
As I pointed out in that thread, the problem seemingly is the hijacking of the term "marriage" from government to grant those benefits under that contract.
That said, I don't think religious people would be necessarily on-board with renaming "marriage" throughout from our laws. I can see where they would be up in arms if that were to happen...
