Kidd has MRI on left knee
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- All-Star point guard Jason Kidd had an MRI on his left knee, and the results of the test were being analyzed.
The Nets said Wednesday they would have no comment until the results were known. Nets spokesman Aaron Harris didn't know when the MRI was performed.
Kidd's left knee bothered him most of the season, and he struggled in the Nets' loss to the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Kidd averaged 10.1 points in the series, shooting 28.4 percent.
Nets coach Lawrence Frank said Kidd's left knee hurt him so much during the postseason that he hurt his back trying to compensate.
