Irving is streaky, he's good for a rookie tho
NYK vs Cleveland
Linsanity > Irving
I wouldn't say he's streaky tbh, he shoots pretty good percentages and has had a really good year.
He has a lot of inefficient games with a lot of very efficient games.
Dude, he's only had 8 games where he's shot worse than 40% all year.
I dont think pass likes Linsanity, hes just trying to downplay him outplaying Irving tbh.
I consider under 45% to be bad, but 8 games is still 25% of his games.
You don't think that's a lot?
and he's only played a handful of college games. This kid looks great so far despite being incredibly raw...hopefully Cleveland can hold onto this one.
No, not when compared to peers like Kobe who have 12. You can't really be inconsistent and shoot 48% IMO
Irving's eFG% is around 53 IIRC, he has been amazingly efficient, especially for a rookie..he's isn't any streakier than any of the other top young players in the NBA..
I don't say things relative to other players, and I know Kobe is as streaky as they come.
I would trade Lin for Irving in a heartbeat, if I were NYK GM
You would because you were not NYK GM.
The Knicks need a PG like Lin to blend the teammates in harmony not a PG/scorer like Irving.
Don't forget, the Knicks were 9-16 before playing Lin and now they are 19-19.
Irving's Cavaliers are 13-20 now.
And you know that Lin led the Knicks bench to the victory over the Jazz, Lakers and Mavs.
Lin is more consistent and contributed.

Linsanity was the better player tonight.
What might be scary about the Knicks is that Baron Davis and JR Smith look like they have good chemistry together. Add those two coming off the bench with Novak's shooting, and you got the potential for a pretty productive bench.
I won't bother saying anything about the officiating because I know damned well this Cavaliers team won't get calls in MSG.
But yeah, Lin outplayed Kyrie tonight. Long-term I take Kyrie without hesitation but Lin got the better of him in this game. Kyrie kind of fell apart in the second half, tbh, but then again the entire team did.
And in Kyrie's defense he's playing with three starters- Parker, Casspi and Erdin- who wouldn't even make the roster of a contending NBA team.
irvings cavs, is then what lebron had when he was a cav rookie
It depends what you need.
Lin not only contributes, he makes teammates better especially those bench players. He knows how to share and play with rhythm.
I would take Irving if we need an athletic scorer.
I would take Lin if we already have stars and scorers.
