They're playing with the same effort they played against Denver. Yeah, the chances of winning tonight probably weren't that great. But leaving the same shooters have been hitting it all night open is pathetic.
Yes, the D has not been good. But that's no reason to cliff-jump and pretend the season is over because we lost at home to a good team without our all-star PG (comment aimed at all cliff-jumpers, not just you).

Parker not playing is not a excuse for the 1000000 defense mistakes

LA got open shots all over the court

Not having TP is not the reason why the Clipps scored 120 points.

The cliff-jumping in here is pathetic. All the woe-is-me posts are bull .

We got beaten by a good team. Learn from it. Tighten up the D. Stop turning it over. Find a rhythm again. Get on with life.
You can say we're missing some of our key players during this stretch. But the D has significantly gotten worse since the RRT. It is really reminding me of last season. Excuse me for being a little paranoid. We've seen this story before.

nobody is cliff-jumping clipps are a very good team but you have to be concerned by our D... come on 120 pts !
Um, read the thread - plenty of people are cliff-jumping like they do every time we lose.

Yes, the D was awful, agreed. But the Clips also played very well and hit everything they put up.

I think you take the loss, learn from it and move on.

If we won the game, you might not even notice the defensive mistakes. It's not like we weren't making them during the RRT run.

So? We're playing the best PG the league has seen since MJ, and Parker often gives him fits. This would've been a different game had TP played.
and manu is god, we won tough games w/o him.

clipps played w/o Martin and billups is out for the season.

we didn't loose because of TP not playing we lost because we let the clipps loading 120 pts at 53% FG

Agree. The D has been bad the whole season. There's no sign of a improvement. More time for Tiago and Kawhi would help but Pop keep trusting in guys that failed every season in the playoffs (Blair, Bonner and Jefferson)

For the record, I never said the season was over. I still think we'll somehow address our weaknesses at the trade deadline. Hopefully this stretch of bad games will convince our front office to make a move although I don't see what move can put them over the top.

I just don't like how this team seems to be going backwards defensively again.

No good now, since Gilchrist has played himself into the top 3-5 picks tbh.

What are you going to do? Mo was hitting contested 3s. You want them taking those. When they fall, you deal with it and move on. We did it to the Heat last year before they did it to us, then they did it to us again this year.

Every team gets on by the 3 at some point.

Yes, the D needs some work. But the commentators just made a good point about the team transitioning to new lineups since Manu is back. Pop is tinkering. They'll find a groove agin.

    Exactly.

Just some perspective: OKC lost to CLEVELAND tonight! At home!!! Every team loses.

If I thought Pop would actually learn from it, I would be as over the top optimistic as you. Fact is, Bonner, Blair and Jefferson will be getting the same amount of playing time in the playoffs that they are getting now. They are a proven formula for bad defense and playoff inep ude...

There isn't much time left to "tighten" up the defense in all honesty. Pop's idea of playoff rotation is starting Neal (more offense, less defense) over Green and keeping RJ in. Not to mention choking Bonner continuing to see crunch time minutes.

Spurs have been flat out awful since the RRT at home an no matter how you slice it, their level of play on both ends is alarming. Luckily Tim and Manu look healthy (although TP is now missing games due to injury).

His shots may have been contested a few times, but Mo had almost no pressure on him at all. He got into hsi spots and his shot with ease.

All the good teams are losing. Guys are getting tired, playing without your mvp is going to affect the team. Yes defense was lacking, but some of those shots were covered pretty well and mo williams was not missing.

and also seeing assholes like Mo Williams beat us is adding more heat to my overreaction. I really don't like him. We'll see how this team looks a few weeks from now. Hopefully no more players get injured. ing lockout.
