I just would like to say thank you to the creators of this site (Kori and her man) for having the most entertaining open NBA forum. Now heed this, the minute you start ing with COC's and restricting or enforcing ty policies, I'm gone. The reason I come here is to be entertained. That includes all the bull that goes with it. If there's a thread or a post I don't like I just skip over it. I realize I'm not a known character on this site but I do lurk here everyday and tell all my buddies about this site and to check it out. So I do contribute in that way. To the OP you have a solid point. And I like the fact that you were able to start this discussion or debate. But you better not be trying to pussify my ST ! That is all carry on.
If we are being honest...what I said is an argument back. He suggested you couldn't get away with some things that are said on here on other websites. I merely informed him that this is not those websites and he could go to those websites and stay there if he felt like the atmosphere here made him uncomfortable.

Fair enough. I agree that I like how you can say alot of different things on Spurstalk, though I'd add I don't like having to wade through phobic nonsense to get to interesting commentary about the team I love. Tbh, it'd be nice to snap a finger and make all the gay jokes disappear. But it's not that easy. It's easy to say more should be done but what exactly could be done that doesn't require a huge amount of man hours? Such jokes and words are against the rules and people have been banned for breaking those rules but that's a very difficult genie to put back in a bottle.
Prediction: If gay jokes became an instantly bannable offense, the number of gay jokes would multiple exponentially with people figuring out how offensive they can be without getting banned. It'd become a sport, tbh.
Banning IPs instead of just the names would help. Won't stop from some of them coming back but its at least a way stop some from slipping through the cracks.
