The Saints are one if the most important businesses? The Saints should be rather low on the list of priorities right now. You will have all this money coming in to help your city rebuild and you are worried about the Saints? I would be more worried about the levees being rebuilt to try to prevent this in the future, along with updating the pumping stations to a more viable pumping capacity. You should be worrying about the infrastrucure of the city (schools, police, fire, hospitals, etc)before you worry about professional sports teams' facilities. If it happened here and the spurs were to leave, I would be upset but would also understand that it is a business and they are doing what they feel is best for that business.
You haven't fill the dome in the last several years (you have been in the bottom 5 of the NFL capacity-wise)when all was well and good and now when they are on the verge of leaving you complain? It is like a couple who argues and when one says I'm leaving...the other says please don't....I promise I'll love you. The Fans in New Orleans seem to have taken the saints for granted in many ways. What were to happen if Benson were to suddenly sell the team...he has said offers have been made...and those new owners decide to move the team to San Antonio (or elsewhere) anyways?
I have no problem if the Saints stay in New Orleans, that would be best...if the city can support them, which they have been iffy at best.
I just think your priorities are skewed.
